I know what the Bible says. I need to know " practical ways" to carry it out. Also at end you call sin " slipping up?
@JordanNealRogers2 жыл бұрын
I hope that you are practically living out the truth of the Bible. I do not know what you are quoting when you say that I have claimed sin is "slipping up." I invite you to watch the sermons more closely and make a sincere effort to understand what is being said.

@@JordanNealRogers you say that right before your invitation on this video

Sounds as if you are saying we must stop sinning to go to heaven
@JordanNealRogers2 жыл бұрын
What I am teaching is that if you are born again, you will not be conquered by sin as a way of life. If you are born again you have the ability to live righteously. If you are born again, you have been made fit for heaven, and those fit for heaven will walk in righteousness. You don’t go to heaven because you are sinless. Only Christ was sinless. Sinners go to heaven because they are forgiven through Christ and they are made able to live righteously by His powerful working in the new birth.

@@JordanNealRogers so, straight to the point pls answer, if a born again Christian has any addiction problem, porn,drugs,alcohol,over eating.....if they struggle with it, never free from,and they die, do you believe they go to hell?

Dude, just because someone sins don't mean they lost, stop spreading that lie. What if it was you that had " that" addiction....???
@JordanNealRogers2 жыл бұрын
I am glad you are watching sermons. Also, I have never taught what you are saying, "just because someone sins don't mean they lost." Those who persist and in a life of sin provide the evidence of their spiritual condition by their habitual action. If a person is born again, they have the ability by the Holy Spirit to overcome sin and walk in righteousness. This does not mean a born again person is sinless, but it does mean they are not in bondage to sin.

@@JordanNealRogers so the addict that has been " born again" but has not been able to stop ,to him you say they are hell bound?
@JordanNealRogers2 жыл бұрын
What I am saying is that if they are born again they do in fact have the ability to overcome sin. If they have zero ability to overcome sin, that is evidence that they have not been born again. I am not the judge of a person’s eternal state, but I do understand what God has plainly revealed in His Word. “[3] And by this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments. [4] Whoever says “I know Him” but does not keep His commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, [5] but whoever keeps His word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in Him: [6] whoever says he abides in Him ought to walk in the same way in which He walked.” 1 John 2:3-6 [4] Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. [5] You know that He appeared in order to take away sins, and in Him there is no sin. [6] No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen Him or known Him. [7] Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as He is righteous. [8] Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. [9] No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God. [10] By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.” 1 John 3:4-10 If you are interested in much more thorough explanations of these passages from 1 John, you can find on my KZbin channel an entire sermon series I preached years ago through every verse in 1 John.
