Yes, This is an excellent verse. We must remember what Paul went through before he wrote it!!! I have had Lupus for 36 years--the organ damaging kind. It paralyzed my GI Tract. I have been through horrible times. I have been at death's door more times than I can count. Yet, God has directly intervened more than 20 times to let me live. At this point I am 61 - I can only eat 6 things. I am in severe pain. I began the journey in good spirits, thinking, I can be content with what God desires for my life. I stayed there for years. Time does take a toll. Happiness comes and goes. Contentment is very hard to hold on to after such a long and ongoing illness that has no cure and the doctors say there is nothing else to be done. God seems to say otherwise. So I go forward striving for contentment after being home bound for the last 4 years. I am a people person, it is very hard. I am thankful I know Jesus as my Savior and Lord.
