Very true, more people need to realize that. The gym bro will be any beginner's greatest supporter. In addition to their motivation, absorb their knowledge and guidance. Anyone, regardless of size, by simply walking around the track is running circles around everyone on sitting their sofas. It may seem a long journey to completion, but the improvement is continuous. There is no better motivation than the feeling of completing a successful workout. It generally takes two weeks to get established. Clear time on the calendar, and after two weeks, it will become routine and run in the background, like clockwork. Do the research first, find a suitable routine for age, health, and fitness level.

The thing gym newbies need to understand is, we were all newbies once. We love to see new people taking charge of their health and fitness, regardless of where they are at right now. Don’t be afraid of being judged, our judgement is reserved for those who don’t show up! And don’t be afraid to ask others if you’re unsure of how to use a certain piece of equipment. While it may considered rude to offer unsolicited advice, we are all more than happy to help out someone who is just beginning their fitness journey.

If you take none of the other advice from this video i'm living proof that dedication and taking the gym serious is a life changing thing. Be sure to take gulps of water, and not a lot of sips. Didn't realize that sipping water removes all of our saliva-coating on our teeth. Saw a video about from a dentist about this on how to whiten your teeth naturally. Apparently, whitening products are terrible for your teeth because they remove the enamel (or something like that).

Then for night prescription retinol, moisturizer, and a super hydrating layer right before bed. Important thing: 0:37 First Thing ÷ Get In The Gym (Or Do The Workout Of Any Exercises); 2:13 Second Thing ÷ Having A Skincare Routine; 3:45 Third Thing ÷ Self-Care Tool Holy Trinity; 6:32 Fourth Thing ÷ Create A Capsule Wardrobe; 7:53 Fifth Thing ÷ Having On Point Hair, and Facial Hair; 9:19 Sixth Thing ÷ Cut Out Processed Junk; 11:37 Seventh Thing ÷ Self-Discipline; and 13:04 to summarize all the told here. Among the mentioned things, I might add couple of other things as well. And those are: Eight Thing ÷ Educate Yourself; Ninth Thing ÷ Try To Prioritize And To Organize Your Goals (that can be also partly a self-discipline); and Tenth Thing ÷ End The Bad Relationships (every type of relationship either men, or women); Eleventh Thing ÷ Do not Postpone Obligations; Twelfth Thing ÷ Go And Get Some Sleep, And Also Wake Up in Same Time (It can be partly seen as a self-discipline as well). What you have told here Courtney, some of these things can also apply to women as well. Thank you very much Courtney ❤💙🤍.

Loved this episode. I am 63 and have been a widower for about a year. Here are some of the additional glow-up routines I have added to my life. As a Catholic, I started attending daily Mass the week after my wife passed. It gets me out of bed the same time every morning, and the spiritual peace really helped deal with my grief. I also reduced my alcohol consumption from 4 or 5 drinks/week to one drink/week or less, mainly after seeing the impact of it on Heart Rate Variability via my FitBit, and its importance. I also started Earthing (or Grounding) to help reduce silent inflammation. This really works to reduce or eliminate aches and pains from workouts, arthritis, etc. There are other benefits, as well. That's my two cents! 😊

I use their all natural deodorant, peppermint shampoo and conditioner. I quit eating fast food, smoking and drinking a few years back and work out at home 3 to 4 days a week. It all makes a huge difference over time, even at my age, lol.

I agree Courtney. Getting in the gym is good. However, it's consistency over time that yields results and benefits. Set a short then long term goal. Commit to 3 months, 6, then 12. In our gym it's refreshing to see the people that stay committed get results. Their confidence improves along with other aspects that you mentioned.

I’ve always been kind of rugged, so these things didn’t come naturally to me, but my wife has trained me well. Just from using a fairly corse exfoliating scrub about every other day, and having the same barber line/trim my beard every 2-3 weeks, I look 10 years younger. I also bought the Tiege Hanley kit a while back along with other products and have been using moisturizer when I remember to do so. I’m in face to face sales and have noticed the way I am perceived is generally better. I’ve also gone several months without alcohol and could write another paragraph about what that’s done for me.

I've watched a lot of videos from various sources and it strikes me there are vast numbers of men who are completely clueless regarding looking after one's self, have low ability to interact with people (and I'm not even including romantic possibilities with the women), have never exercised (Did gym class go away? No pickup basketball, neighborhood football or kid biking along creeks and over dirt piles?"), and no thoughts on where they want to be in their lives when they turn 40. Now I've picked up some great pointers from Courtney, especially with regards to the fit and dress of one's clothing, but it seems to me we've had a couple of generations of men who society couldn't care less if they lived or died. To all you fellas out there finding yourself with no direction or purpose, you have to understand that no one really gives a flying F about you. It is completely up to you to make your lives better. The most concise targets I've picked up are to strive for Muscles, Money (well-paying work), Game (social skills), and Frame (you be in control of yourself and be the lead for the women in your lives). Note this takes years to accomplish, yet what else better do you have to do with your time? Men have a burden of performance to even be acknowledged by society (and women). Do the work and your lives will get better.

All good, but I'd argue a bit against SPF for some ppl. If you lack the ability to tan or get sun burnt immediately, then yes, use sun block. Otherwise, control sun exposure with shade and try to slowly tan. Putting more thick cream on your skin isn't going to make it better but sunlight has many proven benefits on skin. Just control exposure and avoid getting burnt

Regarding bad breath, your mouth is not the likely cause. It’s typically related to gut health and diet. If you’re eating refined carbs, seed oils, processed grains, breads and sugars, it causes overrun of odor-causing bacteria in your gut and even manifests itself on your skin odor (armpits and nether regions). When I cut this stuff out, I noticed I don’t stink as much even if I sweat.

After a few months, all that got sorted out by her having me try things she thought would look good on me. 4 years later, I still see the barber regularly, my beard suits my face and compliments my jaw line and I have much better clothes. Add to that we changed our diet when she discovered she had a major sensitivity to gluten. Gluten free is usually healthier. Especially if you are making those meals from scratch like we do. I'm gradually losing weight and I am mostly seeing it in my face. Its less round and I'm seeing a more defined jaw line and cheek bones.

Yes, studios like this are more expensive but there is a coach to guide the person, signing up and late cancelation fees can keep a person accountable, plus it's just a great place to meet new people. Most cities, or even smaller towns, have cycle studios, crossfit gyms, or places like Orange Theory Fitness and F45. You sign up, come, and get it done while having someone to help you with the form. He looked briefly and said it was fine. But as it was not red like the normal tongue, I asked him to show me his tongue and he flicked it out briefly. No help. Later I always thought that using the toothebrush would be a good cleaner. With the bristles it surely cleans. So that it what I did Surely this is right. Then a long time later, CR talks about the wonderful tongue, and I have a toothebrush with these little nubs which clean in a different way, probably too small to make a difference. And the tongue is soon 5 shades more to the red. Well it is a wonderful happening.

Hi Courtney. Thank you again for your fantastic and motivational advice. A lot of which I am already aware of but its always appreciated to have it reiterated. The skin care and nutritional advice you offer are things I am becoming more focused on. I have cut out a lot of rubbish food and drink, although some bad habits I am still struggling to overcome. I have lost over 4 stone in weight in the last 9 months and that is mostly due to cutting out sugar, carbs and processed foods. I'm not really in to high impact exercise work outs but love walking longs walks and I find regular long walks when coincided with intermittent fasting particularly between 14 and 20 hours of fasting have tremendous positive impacts on overall wellbeing.

Self-discipline is key. I am working right now with V Shred. Working out a daily eating healthy doing my meal prep. I’ve already lost 10 pounds. Not too keen on using body moisturizer. Not my cup of tea. But the tongue scraper looks promising. Have to get one of those. Thanks for sharing as always.

As long as it works for you keep doing it, just be aware V shred is far from the best regarding knowledge and honesty. Look into it, might save yourself time and effort, not to mention eventual injuries. If you're interested I can point you into the direction of a few high quality KZbin channels that have all the info out there for free. Given how the yt algorithm works you probably won't ever get to those if you're being recommended V Shred right now.

Hello Courtney. I recently returned to the dating scene at age 43 after 20+ years. I asked a few female friends to help me with new clothes and when I was wearing them in the store I felt like an idiot. I also asked some of the people who were working in fancy clothing stores for help and bought a few things each time. The problem is I mostly feel uncomfortable in the clothing but other people like the clothes. Is this something I just have to suck up and get used to or with me feeling like an idiot will that just ruin everything? Thanks in advance!

I've found wearing what I like is a good rule of thumb. Find the outfits that help you feel attractive. Chances are, if you think you look good, others will too. I hope you enjoy exploring this exciting and often scary journey of learning to love and be our best selves. You rock 🤘

Tongue scrapers are great and worth the investment! However if you don't have one but you use an electric toothbrush then you can use it to brush your tongue and that works very well
