For most people trying to fix someones problems amounts to giving them advice. Are you sure you are qualified to tell them how to fix their problems? I mean if fixing it means you get up and do something to actually fix it maybe it's different from offering advice. So many times people will say "I tried to help you but you wouldn't listen". Yeah thanks for helping me by giving me advice.
