How to have British Afternoon Tea // I'm obsessed with a traditional afternoon tea here in Britain but not only that, beautiful country houses are another passion of mine. Last week was my birthday and we made a reservation for afternoon tea (mine was gluten free!) at Bodysgallen Hall in North Wales. It's a beautiful country house hotel and we had the living room all to ourselves which was amazing. We were Lord and Lady of the Manor for an afternoon! We actually can't wait to go back later in the year because Bodysgallen Hall has a beautiful garden too and the views into Snowdonia are spectacular.

This hotel is actually in Wales, not England! Have stayed/dined there a few times myself - one of my favourite hotels in the whole of the UK. And very old - dating back to the 1600s.

I just love a good afternoon tea 😍 Chatsworth's afternoon tea was so good with clotted cream from their farm. Grosvenor House in Dubai has a lovely afternoon tea too. Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi too.

I absolutely love afternoon tea. My favourite days out start with an English breakfast then end with afternoon tea. I do still enjoy lunch and dinner out but the work and skill involved in a great afternoon tea means it’s not really possible to do it properly at home. It was my dream to have a tea shop and I collected so much beautiful vintage china over the years in anticipation but it never happened! I still have the tea sets!!
