I often would rest from an intense work week by a lazy day of solitude and reading, often in bed. “Bed rotting” definitely preceded social media. Retreating from the noise and business of the world is critical for the health of the human spirit. Now, though, I often take that rest in an Adoration chapel before Eucharistic Jesus. What a subtle but magnificent game-changer. Talk about exchanging the false peace and false rest of an overactive and anxious mind to the rich peace within the heart from being with the King. Best medicine in the world. And there, you find the most powerful, most kind, most peaceful friend you could ever know.

❤wonderfully said and will need to repeat it again. Distraction is work of the enemy, serpent and foul spirit. Enemy will create environment to be just that ongoing around a child of God. God is truth, love and peace too. Manufacturing counterfeits often required purpose for distractions, cognition and room to lie or hide. Pray 🙏 all churches ⛪ every where preach honestly in ❤knowning Jesus Christ is still watching. Good 🌟 🙏🏽📖😇

Excellent sermon on the path to peace. I would hope that our priests would all be familiar with the quote in the Gospels when Christ calls out "My God, my God, why has Thou forsaken me..." . These are the first words of the Psalm 22 that would let those hearing it know the rest which points to a reference to the Messiah. This is not Christ being broken, it is one final confirmation for those crucifying Him that He is indeed the Messiah. Remember each word spoken was painful, to simply draw a breath was painful, so it would be like us say "Our Father..." Knowing that those close by know the rest.

Thank you Father! God does give peace amid atrocious circumstances if we surrender all and focus on God's merciful love. Fr. Dolindo's Surrender Novena helped to bring me peace. God bless you❤
