'Burra' market or........... 'Burrow' market. I guess it depends where you came from. Language is a wonderful thing. Looking forward to this one. Just seen the opening shots. Refreshing youtube stuff.

My top things I’ve had at Borough are the sausage roll at Ginger Pig and the duck confit wrap at Le Marché du Quartier. 👏👏

I really wanted to include the duck confit. It’s one of my favorites, and would have been top three, but as is often the case, the day I went, it was not available. That happens waaaay too much.

Yes, I know costs are higher in London, but £14.50 for a smaller "full English" than you would pay in the Northwest of England, no, Sir.

Kicking off the mushrooms but keeping the black pudding & not having hash browns..... you're a disgrace Dave! 😂

Sorry to disappoint you. I was there as a visitor and found it to be very expensive, congested, and overhyped. There are many other London markets that offer good value for money. Cannot recommend Borough market to sane people--only for suckers

I’m sorry you had a bad experience there. I’ve lived here for 18 months, and I still find Borough Market very enjoyable. Crowds aside.

Hi. Nice video but are you stealing Joolz Guides look with the bowler hat? 😂 Anything that gets popular is overcrowded overpriced and overhyped. When I first started working in that area in 2001 Borough Market was practically deserted and only open to the public from Thursday to Sunday. As a Londoner born and raised I can sometimes get frustrated trying to go about my daily business while battling through hoards of tourists but I understand that it’s a source of pride that so many people come to see my city and that it’s a financial benefit for all the money tourists bring in. Also it would be hypocritical of me not to realise I’m doing the same when I travel somewhere outside London. However I do object to people disrespecting the locals and the area in their wish to get a selfie. They need to remember that they are not in a theme park but in a living city where people need to get on with their everyday lives. For instance have you seen how disrespectful some tourists are around the horse guards on guard duty, particularly during the hours when they are on horseback. They behave as though the soldiers are there for them to take pictures with and get aggressive when the guards try to stop them coming into restricted military areas or grab at the horses’ tack because it won’t keep its head turned for their selfie. They are full time professional soldiers who happened to also take a turn doing ceremonial duties. If it gets any worse it’s going to end up like the foot guards who now guard behind the railings at Buckingham Palace because they couldn’t do their military service properly with the public making a nuisance of themselves. 😊

Thanks for the comments. Jools and I both wear bowlers, but our channels are different. His videos are 3 times longer and he is more of a tour guide, where I’m an expat who’s taken by the things I’m discovering. Cheers. Thanks for watching.

Oh, yes. An indugence, but you must agree that there’s a lot in there that’s worth it!
