Thank you so much! This helped me get my snake to poop and oh boy there was so much! I feel so bad that I didn’t try this sooner. His back end (butt) is stretched out and red after that and I was wondering if that is something to worry about? Thank you again for this video!

No disrespect intended to our experts across the pond, but how refreshing to view a British video! Thanks for this! My only criticism (which I hope doesn't offend you) is - please cut the music. I'm hard of hearing, but not completely deaf (I also have dreadful tinnitus) so in such a valuable and educational video, the music is quite off-putting and frankly, pointless. But this information is invaluable, so thanks for that!

@@homegrownherps978 Thank you for your prompt response. I know there are subtitles, but it's sometimes difficult to both read those, AND watch the action... So I'm grateful for your constructive reply! (The most difficult videos to watch are the ones where the subtitles are auto-generated! The results are often hilarious!) I have subscribed, because learning great info from a homeboy (:D) is really useful! Thank you!

Thank you for sharing this video. I think my baby snake is constipated too. But if she doesn't poop in a week or so, I'll gently try this. ❤️

Can I do this on my corn snake? She's pretty small (I don't know how old she is). I'm afraid I'll hurt her.

It all depends whether she's looking like she's back up your first steps is a nice warm soak for around 15 mins then give it a day and see if she goes. If you still find she's backed up and swollen then yes try another soak and then palpating it down gently. it's not so much about how hard you do it as more about gently working it down by gently squeezing and rubbing down the body from just behind the swell if it feels like it's not moving even with palpating then I would suggest taking to a vet. But also be sure to check your setup is 100% too like temps humidity fresh water all that good stuff. Hope this helps and don't forget to keep me posted if you need any further advice or help don't hesitate to reach out to me on insta or Facebook. Take care and stay safe.

Just keep an eye it can have a number of factors like type and amount of food offered humidity temps access to fresh water are all key factors but if you start to notice a large swell by the cloaca then it would be a good idea to follow this video and see if this helps don't forget to keep me posted take care and keep smiling and more importantly stay safe

Can I ask a question? I have had my 2 year old ball python for 1.5 years and he always ate, pooped and shed normally. But for 1 week now he hasn’t pooped and he hasn’t shed in a month. The humidity and temperature is perfect and I feed him every week or so. The only reason I can think is that the food is too small . Please help me 😭

They don't always shed monthly and poo if he goes longer than few weeks I would palmate him to see if he's blocked up if so follow these tips and it should help
