Restricted is you're basically preventing your self from seeing another person's post but they can still see yours so any pictures comments stories you put that Restricted person can still see it you just can't see what they post message or comment same with mute.

You cannot hide posts, Instagram doesn't have that function, all this does is softblock someone so you don't see THEIR posts, your only option is fully blocking someone
