How to Highlight and Contour (Round Face)

If you have a round face and tried to highlight and contour your face like everyone else on KZbin, you probably noticed you didn't get the same result as everyone either. When you have a round face, you have to contour your face a little bit differently. This video will show you some tips and tricks for highlighting and contouring a round face.
1. HIGHLIGHT
Apply a light concealer to highlight. Since I have fair skin, it's hard to find a shade light enough. LA GIRL PRO HD concealers are great because they come in a wide variety of shades and super affordable.
ROUND FACE TIP: Don't bring your highlight shade past your eyes. Bringing your concealer past your eyes to your temples will WIDEN your face, which we don't want if you have a round face.
2. SET
Set your under eyes with a powder so your under eyes don't crease. Also now is the perfect time to set the rest of your face as well. Setting your face with a powder before your contour will help blend your contour much more smoothly and be a lot easier.
3. Bronzing and Contouring
Bronzing is done with a warm shade and contouring is done with a cooler shade. I usually bronze first so it gives my face a more blended out look. Bronzing doesn't have to be perfect. Contouring is a little bit more precise. I usually use a specific brush to give me a more chiseled and defined look. Using the top of your ear as a guideline and point towards the corner of your mouth.
ROUND FACE TIP: You want to create shadow (contour) on the sides of your face so the attention goes more towards the highlighted areas making your face appear longer.
4. BLUSH
Apply blush on same angle as contour but above the contour shade
5. Highlight
To give yourself a glow, use a powder highlight the face where the light would naturally hit your face. Start with your cheek bones, again applying on angle like blush and contour. Nose and then above your eyebrows.

I am also SUPER oily! one thing that absolutely helps is applying powder UNDER your foundation, after primer. not a whole lot, just in the areas that you are super oily. also using an EYE primer on your nose before foundation really helps with slick nose. I then set it all with setting powder and a setting spray.

Hey so I totally liked your video, though ur face is not round XP. Id. Say A heart shaped but don't quote me there lol. A round face doesn't necessarily mean no check bones. Like I am hella round with defined check bones. It has to do with the perimeter of the face :)

Normally drug store foundations are way too dark but ysl le teint touche eclat or whatever it's called, their palest shade is a decent match for me. your face is more square than round. round face would be where the length and width are very similar but your face is longer (from top of forehead to bottom of chin) than the width.

Your face isn't really that round. I see so many people teaching round faces to contour up but thats exactly the opposite of what you're supposed to do lol round faces contour/bronze down. that's the only way you slim your face. contouring up only accentuates your chubby cheeks. I think your're more of an oval face shape because your chin is very defined
