How to Hike to DEEP HOLE at Myakka River State Park's Wilderness Preserve | SPECIAL PERMIT REQUIRED

I've been hiking to Deep Hole at Myakka River State Park for several years now and it's incredible EVERY. SINGLE. TIME!
This hike requires a special permit that's given out at the ranger station. Only 30 are available single day. That means... You have to get there early! Especially on weekends!
I'll walk you through the process step by step, take you out on the dry prairie , and share a couple lessons I've learned by hiking (and kayaking) to Deep Hole over the years.
