Just do the hand break trick, pull your hand break, find the catch point and while you start to move forward let go of the handbreak matching the release of the clutch.

@@jugz9130 now I've mastered it....this trick i used to do in the beginning...now what i do is to release the clutch to the breaking point without releasing the brakes and once I'm ready I'll accelerate and car wont go backwards as releasing the clutch to the half is already engaging the gears and load becomes heavy enough to keep the car in place

Why don't you just keep on foot brakes and release clutch to the bite point then gas? Once you get to the bite point car woundn't move reverse.

It depends from cars to cars(model wise). Some might stall, therefore you have to release brake and press some gas and release clutch till bite point in a timeframe before the car rolls back

I did this a week ago.. End result was a heated car and a half burnt clutch plate (saw white smoke hence pulled over else this would have been real bad) What happens when you are in such a scenario? Clutch becomes quite loose.. Hence it becomes tough to move the car ahead and car keeps going in reverse instead (apart from all this the person behind me didn't even keep any gap)

The civic I have now you have to release it and gas too quickly. The clutch should nudge the car a bit like with my previous car, but it doesn't.
