I got a designer to do 3 different concept designs so I could pick a theme that worked the best. Then I put them out to my mailing list for a vote. Then I fine tuned the most popular one with him as a second job based on my ideas and other feedback from family. Just one word of warning. Make sure the image they give you is either royalty free or the copyright includes use of the image for COMMERCIAL USE. The first final image he gave me was only allowable for EDITORIAL USE not commercial. He overlooked that tiny item that could have gotten me sued. I had to read the fine print on the actual image from the website he got it from to ensure it was allowed. It was not. So don't be afraid to push them on this issue, because you will be the one paying the owner of the copyright.

Nice video Dane Thank you…. I want to ask you about the following issue that a got recently for submitting my book to amazon KDP. Before submitting my book to KDP, it was uploaded in Draft to Digital (D2D). Now in the review process, KDP wants me to show that my book is actually my book, because they see it in KDP system (obviously because it was uploaded from D2D print) otherwise they will suspend me after 5 days. I tried to explain that I use D2D and the book that they see in KDP is from me but from another platform. Their support simply does not listen and they do not reply to me, just pointing me to the link “Kindle Direct Publishing Terms and Conditions”. I do not know what to do? they accuse me of violation of the copyright of my own book!!!
