I do really like the $25 one. The 3d cape pops. It's the one I would be most likely to pick up and purchase.

Interesting! I too thought the last was the best, however I do only really see a bird with a beak and the orange slashes. Which is fine, just I don’t see the brain part. Funny how we see things differently. Just thought I’d say so you know another viewpoint.

As someone who's always wanted to embrace my artistic side and has a love for book covers myself, I'm really interested in going into freelance illustration and book design myself. I know it's Fiverr and so more on the informal side, but is this really the level of instruction that designers would get for a project from an author or publisher? Are designers ever expected to know more deeply about that book's subject matter (say, for when the book is not a well-known work of literature and so whose theme/plot is not already know ahead of time)?
@OmgThatsIncredible3 жыл бұрын
Informal side?? You could absolutely go formal. There's people labeled as "Fiverr Pro" and some of them even ask for $600+ for making a cover.

Thanks Laura! I used Fiverr.com for these covers so I was able to see the price before buying their gigs. For Low Content Books, I always outsource my covers so they strand out from competition since a lot of people don't outsource them.

Well, he does admit to not being a writer. The fact he's so blatant about it, admitting he pays ghost writers and cover designers. He's not got a creative bone in his body. Just a parasite,in fact.

@@AndrewHalliwell A parasite! That's a new one. Thanks for the kind words Andrew.
@AndrewHalliwell3 жыл бұрын
@@DaneMcBeth well, as a writer, that's how you appear to me... It you weren't just out to make money for yourself and you are as successful at playing Amazon as you claim, you could help them rather than exploit. Bet most of those ghost writers have work of their own they'd love to see published. You could become the ebook equivalent of a literary agent and just charge them a percentage to get those stories as many eyes as possible.
@DaneMcBeth3 жыл бұрын
hmm, well there are actual people who ghostwrite as a career choice. I understand where you’re coming from though... However, I’m not exploiting them by any means. We work together on each book as a collaborative effort along with contracts and everything. Sorry you feel that way. Not sure it’s worthy of calling me a parasite and saying I don’t have a creative bone in my body though, it’s just business, sorry to say.

Very interesting video as I am currently looking for designers. But please, you definitely need to learn to speak much more slowly and to articulate. Think of all the non-English speaking native people. It is very difficult (and exhausting) to watch a whole video at such speed. You would increase your audience just with this little effort. Thanks
