This is a very good video! Just recently, I hit my first backhand cross-court dink (much like you illustrated) and completely beat my opponent. I seldom impress myself and it certainly felt good! The onlookers applauded my shot and all I could do is think that I wish it was recorded so that I could watch it and see how well it was executed, so that I could repeat it . Your illustration tells me what I did and I hope I can maintain that form and execution. It was all instinctua but I've seen pros make this move time and time again. I've not yet executed the 2-handed backhand topspin dink. I need to work on it and your tutorial should help. By far, I enjoy the one-handed forehand dink. It's one of my most effective dink moves that earns me points because of the acceleration of the dip once the ball crosses the net. Again, great tutorial!

Great video. I use a continental grip for volleys, which undoubtedly results in my dinks being slice dinks. In a rally, how do you transition so quickly to hit the topspin dink? Or do you maintain the continental grip even for topspin dinks?

I hold eastern right after each dink. You have a lot of time to switch when dinking!

@@pickleballplaybook Yeah looks like it, for more topspin. I pretty much use a continental grip for everything on a pickleball court, though occasionally will go eastern or semi-western on serves, rollers, or forehand returns. Have you ever done a video on grips?

No one has made a video for it since there’s not a very big market that is interested in it because majority of players are just trying to dink normally haha! That said, I want to try to teach everything I know, regardless of how it performs!
