Tommy!! I love your infectious stoke! I’m 39 years young and man this needs to be the year I fulfill some trick goals before 40. I’ve been riding since I was 14 and I lived in keystone for 12 years, so I am “advanced”. I can land the truck at Woodward at copper in foam but how do I unlock the nerve on the snow to throw something that can potentially end my season, or worst. I just need a bs rodeo 7 before 40. I know this video is features and not jumps but I was trying to get some tips on how to overcome the mental hurdle. Btw: it’s going down at heavenly on Tuesday if you happen to be in Tahoe.

This is encouraging lol. I'm 35 and I'm into my second season snowboarding. Last year I broke my finger when I thought I was good enough to hit this little baby rail lol. This season I went back to that rail and finished what I started. Then I went to a bigger park and hit a big rail and nailed it. Felt so good. I been wondering how much time I have left to enjoy the park with my late start into this awesome sport lol. I'm addicted to the park. I want to spend the off season continuing to somehow improve my boarding skills and ability to hit rails / jumps. Any suggestions for this sort of training in the offseason? I see you mentioned a foam pit. I live in Denver. I know picking up skateboarding would help, but slamming on concrete fucking sucks lol.

Nice video! Very instructive! My biggest fear/concern when approaching a feature is how straight my board needs to be with the feature. For example for rails/pipes, if I'm not 100% parallel, will by board slide to the side and wipe me out?
@jstarr252311 ай бұрын
for rails, i always land a little bit toward the side that i'm coming from. so if you're riding regular and going for a fs 180, land a little bit to the left side of the rail and it should balance out the slight angle that you're coming from. as you do it more and more it'll become second nature

keep that shit parallel! Most times you just slide off and don't wipe out

For urban jumping on, it’s the jumping pop or Ollie or both works?

Urban on is one of my targets this year. I did a few at the end of camp last year and know it will really open up the park for me. Are their grass drills that may help get ready for putting things to snow?

I think an old skateboard deck and a pvc pipe or bottle is good practise, should be harder thand the actual feature... But im not an expert in any way tho so
