1. Is circle (Shoulder hit) the same as down and up with the analogue stick? 2. With regards to pulling back the stick! If you are hitting a guy on your right for instance do you go Left then Right with the stick? It’s not always Up / Down or Down/Up, right?

We need the big vibration on the controller when you lay a crushing check, but I find it hard to time my checks, I’m a beginner to 24 but I’m quite experienced with the regular controls

@@owenposer6720 You will find the sweet spot each situation kind of depends on the angle it's harder to practice against the AI since their movement is much different than a real player just go into ones or threes elim and you will figure it out

I disagree honestly - they made a new control system to make it as easy as possible for new players to be able to do anything they wanted What they DIDNT do is have a tutorial explaining everything But if you're a new player, it's never been so easy to be able to pick it up and play any way you want

Hitting was never about holding your elbow out unless you plan on only playing rookies and getting penalties. Truthfully hitting always took a lot of skill when playing good players and sweats as there have always been a lot of ways to "avoid" hits by using the inane coding of the game. It got better in 22 when a lot of it was fixed but that caused hitting to become too easy so everyone complained and it got nerfed again in 23. 24 takes it to a whole new level of stupid by removing hybrid controls but thankfully enough people got on EA and now its coming back this month.

The best way to throw hip checks on skill stick is to press R3 FIRST and then L1. It will work every single time and you will never accidentally take a knee

I'm really hating the controls. I didn't know I had to treat it like a slap shot. Also the defend the puck has f...Ed me up so bad. I'm so used to holding x which has now been replaced as a counter hit. Then dumping the puck is very weak now.

Good video. OK, question: I get you load back then explode through the hit as your backing up but what about big hits on guys trying to come around the net? If I load the hit backwards how does that work a the hit direction is already backwards?

Yeah totally understandable It'll be back late March - I think it was removed because of all the changes to gameplay, and hybrid wouldn't be able to use majority of them - so now they have to figure that out

Fighting the control system instead of concentrating on the play in front of me got me to rage quit and im not usually a quitter! Its alright I got more time to go skate now but still very disappointed to lose my friends and league games just because its now a game for 9years old trying to michigan everywhere. Yeah I think once you press the button, you have to throw it If you were using the right stick you can cancel by just not flicking up

This game has ruined defensive players compared the hitting is absolutely 10 times worse than it was. And you don't have the auto follow button for covering players with the puck for 7 Seconds automatically on defense
