For those of us who can’t grab the board in the air, I finally learned this season to do a fakey instead to stay connected and not flap my arms while flying over the knuckle. Colorado trip or it is over for this year.
@JohnathanBuckhouse3 жыл бұрын
Yes great idea!
@jlip43083 жыл бұрын
You did mention it. Just clicked for me after years of knuckle slamming. My goal was to hit the biggest jump line at Spirit Mt when I’m 60 and that’s next month. If I do it next season it will be my first time. I won’t do it if I don’t feel ready. Hucking it off of the big knuckles is a fun way to get used to the floating feeling and landings. Baby steps, progression never ends...

This was perfect because I cleared the knuckle on some small kickers at Brighton yesterday! I want to hit the medium ones because I could 10 years ago but I definitely need to get some confidence going first. Thanks Buckhouse!

Yes dude! So happy it helped. You totally got it 💪🏼

Do you carve into the jump straight or can you slide/skid into it? Is the board flat? or are you more on your heel or toes when popping?

Maybe see if there is another resort close with medium size jumps. Or really watch other people do it. Maybe ask someone if you can follow them in. And than send it

Beginner here. I just learned all the basics over the past weeks, and I'm comfortable riding all kind of blue slopes with skidded turn. I'm debating what to learn next. Should I learn switch, jumps (pop + ollie), or carving next?
@JohnathanBuckhouse3 жыл бұрын
Honestly all three but I would say carving first, Ollie + pop next, and than switch 🤘🏼

@@JohnathanBuckhouse Ok thanks! Because I don't get to go to the resort often, so I have to make my days count! :)
