Thanks for the tips, I've played on pad, and recently on keyboard, so my new stick feels so weird.

Good video. I notice when I have issues its not so much when im holding the stick but more about the orientation of the stick. Like if I have it on a flat surface with my arms downward vs putting the stick on my lap. Some food for thought
@quickplaya10 жыл бұрын
The angle of the fighstick shouldn't affect your play. How would it? Just find a comfortable position... for most pros it is the lap.

Mauldie Stick on your lap.... Is there a joke to be made there?

What does it mean when people say 236 motion or 623 motion? I'm a beginner and I play a lot of fighting games but mostly 3S these days. It's so tough. But I really like the game.
@quickplaya5 жыл бұрын
Good question my friend... imagine a numberpad on a computer... 236 would be down,diagonalforward,forward..... etc. It is arrow inputs. If you have any other questions let me know my friend!

@@quickplaya Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. I get so frustrated learning Third Strike online but I know the best way to get good is to play other people. Is there a specific game or games that you would recommend to a beginner?
@quickplaya2 жыл бұрын
@@ricardopalacios5968 Street fighter is a very simplistic 2D game that allows you to get comfortable with joystick input I'd start with Street fighter and then move your way to more complicated technical games.

Maybe my pinky muscles are stronger than most but I have no problem actively using all buttons on an 8-button layout...
@quickplaya8 жыл бұрын
There is a reason why pro players in FGC don't use pinky. Do what you want! Don't recommend it though.

Whichever way you’re comfortable holding, You have to practice allot it won’t come over night, when i first started I had little problems with my grip but I developed and I understand how to use it believe me it’s seems difficult at first but when u get to understand the grip then u see how easy it come. I now can adjust my grip for different moves and it works for me I execute my move an combos perfect. Thanks to this guy. I’ve been playing on mayflash f300 for over six months now but I mod the stick with Sanwa parts and since then it’s been amazing. My suggestion u have to get a good stick u can if u can afford a good stick then go for it , but those entry stick won’t give you what you’re looking for, I use to play street fighter on pad but now I’m staying with stick it’s allot better u have to practice like I said don’t give up that’s the main key. Times I use to get frustrated until I take my time an learn to use the stick now mehn I’m not ever going back to pad stick is more fun, the key is don’t give up practice daily for few hours in practice mode that’s how I learn to use the stick.

@quickplaya can you advise on the hand placement for jumping? jumping backwards is fine as i have my thumb for more accuracy, jumping straight up and forward however i lose a lot of accuracy.
@quickplaya8 жыл бұрын
It is honestly "a feel thing"... try not thinking about it and let it come naturally. Once you get "the feel" and muscle memory... your hands will become and extension of your mind.

Go into training mode and turn on inputs and look at your arrows. Also try an octagon gate. Good luck!

Not sure why people think they should automatically be amazing with whatever peripheral they use. Were you automatically destroying people on a controller or keyboard when you first started playing literally any game? no, it's just muscle memory, calm down its not that deep.
