Here is part 9 of the "Junkyard Roadster" build. In this video, the pre-war traditional hotrod build gets engine and transmission mounts. While I use the typical style engine mounts, I add a little twist to make them a bolt-in mount. Things are a little different when it comes to the transmission mount. In keeping with the theme of the car, I reuse more cast-off stock Model A parts to build a pretty unique mount and crossmember brace.

I like how you utilized and fabricated the old mounts for the transmission.Definitely a lot of moves before the final assembly but no avoiding that.A plasma cutter would work well with this type of custom build.Nice work 👍🏻

Thanks. I have an older hypertherm that I picked up earlier this year. I need to take the time to get it set up and learn how to use it It would definitely save a lot of time.

You did the front mounts exactly how I fit a "B" 4 banger into my A Coupe !!! Now im curious if a V8 will bolt in .

The width on the B mount might be the same as a v8. That would make sense so they wouldn't have to have 2 separate mounting spots on the 32. If I get a minute. I'll measure the width on the mounts and compare it to the B engine I have.

I made my own front mount for the B motor as I wanted to use the v8 style biscuits ,if you have time check out The Sacramento Coupe.

Damn. I didn't think of that. Thanks. It does have an OYS front main leaf in it though.

Can it be considered a "period correct" build if you are using brand new grade 8 hardware (ha ha)? Looking great! Going to be a great ride--can't wait to see it in person!😎

You got me. I should have patina'd them first. Unfortunately, the roadster won't make it up there this year.
