Have a new lanyard for work tomorrow, thinking I will made a small one for my locker key, all finished... forgot to add the hardware, there is no hope. Made me laugh and looked at it for several mins, thinking how can I get over this, now has a split ring, sorted. Thank you for sharing

I love my key fobs!! Especially when I see the fabric of them appear in one of your special garments, it makes me feel like I have a part of you with me.

This is a fun way to turn your regular bag into a cross body style, love the fun key chain more fun. You could also make it for a work I’d tag carrier . Love the fabric and endless ways to design them to go with your outfits

Gday. Hope you are having a great time away? It was funny when I went to watch this video, the trailer was for Pet cemetary, it went from spooky to your then happy intro music & with you smiling, contrast just made me laugh. Anyways, love the rivet gadget, `I need that` . Thanku for sharing. XX

They look so pretty! I love the fabric and I'm head over 👠 for the copper hardware! Thank you for the tip on getting perfect top stiching. That's a keeper. Loved it. Thank you for sharing!

Loved this. I wear a lanyard each day at work. I have a feeling that I might need to make lots of outfit co-ordinated ones! Also, when you stitch the two ends together and you make sure you don't get a twist, is that a 'ask me how I know' situation?!?!

Brilliant i have been wanting one of the rivet press machines you have sold me on it. Thank you great video as always video someone is showing their age lol

Thank you so much for this tutorial. I have watched several videos on making lanyards and this is the only one that shows to sew the ends together first. Your idea make for a much cleaner look toward the swivel end. I love it. I have rivets but will probably just sew across like you mentioned. Again thank you so much. What do you recommend for a selling price? I’m going to make these for an upcoming craft show.

These are great little projects, thanks for sharing how you make them! I'm thinking about offering a gift sewing workshop at our local hackspace/maker space and I might add these. Have to check what's possible material wise.

Great video.I saved it. I want to make these to hold keys..Ive made other wristlets for clutches using key fob hardware with key rings. My question is..I want to make wristlets using rivets. Do I use a D ring and attach a key ring onto it? I want to stay away from a swivel clasp.
@KittenishBehaviourSian3 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Yup just replace the swivel clasp with a D ring 😊

Well now you’ve done it! You made me want to buy a rivet press! I have a hand one. How often would I use it? Oh man, temptation...
@loriannpayne44836 жыл бұрын
Larry has been shopping for them but so far has only found grommet presses unless you get into the bigger/expensive ones. Your dad must really LOVE you. If anyone could ever justify a tool, it’s you...

Don't you need to incorporate a safety connector within the lanyard?
@Absintheskiss6 жыл бұрын
I might use good quality metal snaps if you cannot find safety connectors. In a matching finish it would look lovely.
@KittenishBehaviourSian6 жыл бұрын
I hadn’t thought of that! The ones I’ve had from shows have never had safety connectors. I shall investigate 😊
@niawilshaw35226 жыл бұрын
Only if you are wearing it around machinery that could catch it, or as in my case, if a disturbed patient might try and use it to throttle you!! I think you're ok for wandering around fabric shows ☺️
@monkey_sox54326 жыл бұрын
Which is fine if you are making them solely for adults, but if someone decides to follow this tutorial to make a lanyard for their children they should be aware of the potential strangulation risk and how it can be easily avoided by the inclusion of a breakaway clip. It's not something I would want to have on my conscience.
