A little tip since it’s halloween time. I buy pirate patches (Halloween Store) and use when using the spotting scope. You can keep both at the eyes open when glassing and avoids getting tired from squinting that one eye. you look goofy, but who cares. Take care

Where to find Coues? Just swing by the ATO camp and they’ll take you right to ‘em! Keep up the great work, Tim and Team!!

Great information! I hunted AZ in 2020 for the first time with every intention on trying to kill a big muley. Which almost happened. However after an opening day encounter and missed opportunity with a nice coues buck, my hunt turned into more of a curiosity hunt and I blew several stalks or “opportunities” on coues deer as well and I left that hunt wanting to learn more about coues deer! Now I want to focus this year on the coues in this area with mule deer being a target of “opportunity”. A total reversal. Because big mule deer have been my nemesis although I’ve killed a pile of smaller mule deer. But now I want to kill a big coues! Coues definitely intrigue me and have peaked my interest! I am a bowhunter

I disagree with the quality of leupold scopes. The CDS dial option is a life saver but I definitely paid the price for it. Great video and info!

Dude, you gave me more information in this than the 1000 videos on elk deer and javelina hunting! Thank you. And I subbed too! I’m just getting back into archery.

Another scope I've found with very high glass quality is Arizona-made Riton Optics. Stop by their place in Tucson and look through them if you get a chance.

Not sure if you still check this, but I got my first coues rifle tag for 24b first hunt. I’ve only archery hunted and killed a few mule deer the last few years. I have a .308 I bought for bear hunting last year. Do you think this will be acceptable for this unit? I can shoot comfortable at 400yds

Looking to upgrade my vortex DB 10x50. Torn between Vortex 12x50 or Swaro SLC 15x56. Curious if the price difference is worth it.

I am planning my first desert coues or mule deer hunt in Arizona. Would you recommend I look into hunting north or south of Phoenix to start out in?
@timmywinslow Жыл бұрын
I would start with an area close to home that way you can scout and look as much as possible, both north and south of phoenix have excellent options, the draw odds are lower around Phoenix naturally so that is a downside.

It's funny that you said the couse deer in New Mexico are AZ deer, so I guess I can say the deer in AZ are Mexico deer, huh.
