Been playing disc golf super casually for a while but just started getting into it seriously and really wanted to know more about types of throws, types of discs, etc. Stoked to find your channel. Great stuff! Cheers!

Nice video dudes! ;) Another main reason why hyzer flips are best for tight tunnel shots and gaps is the hyzer is naturally a more comfortable release angle, allowing the thrower to improve accuracy. Also, throwing a a hyzer flip with an understable disc is great when you have a stand still shot or don't have a lot of room for a run up and you need a decent amount of distance to get to your target. Understable mid-ranges are great for this. Ooo! And Patent Pending hyzer flip backhand shots are a skill all players should learn.

I always see pros throwing hyzer flips for distance, but never thought about trying it for a tunnel shot. I think I did it on accident a few weeks ago with a disc, then the form got better and couldn't replicate the throw with the same disc because I thought I threw it flat. but since I was finally throwing flat it kept turning and burning for me, I'll definitely be trying this out with my flippy discs. Thanks!

Nice one! Would it be the same for an overstable disc with a forehand throw?

Interesting, I have seen other channel stress the need to point the disk edge down via bending the wrist.

Great explanation. I actually have a pretty good backhand but have never really understood exactly how i got the disc to fly in a certain way. Sometimes just like you showed in the video! I was like ”ah so that’s called a Hyser-Flip and that’s how and why it sometimes end up to fly just like that” 🤝🤝

Found you through a review posted on infinite discs -- great video on a subject I knew just enough about without having a full explanation. Will try adjusting my body angle without the wrist and see if I can nail it!

Y’all want to see someone who can hyzer flip really good go watch Drew Gibson. Throws a lot of his shots with his buzz on hyzer and the thing is just magical after that. Watch the pro tour championship that’s going on right now on Jomez and you’ll see what I mean.
