Ive heard that usps takes the longest time for the lockboxes to acknowledge receipt and assign an IOE, even with tracking. I've seen someone on a FB group before even mention a month. Wait one additional week and then start trying to chat with USCIS and provide the agent with tracking info. The electronic info form for texts should also be registered automatically. Most likely you will receive a text before you receive your NOA1 in the mail

when you call USCIS again, ask to speak to a tier 2 agent. also try to get a reference number next time you call, so you can use that number for them to look up your request if you ever call again in the future. I think 2 months for them to even decide whether they want to expedite or not doesn't sound like normal time

I am so frustrated I filed in Texas for I-130 on 4/4/19 and it got transferred to Nebraska center and then on 2/25/20 I was checking my status and it said my petition got transferred to Virginia center. But I never got a notice and I called USCIS and they said they couldn’t reproduce a notice . So now it has been 14 months waiting !!! I have looked online to see which option to expedite with? wow good to know the IOE comes instantaneously for the online apps! cool! on the I-130 end, they are stricter about expedites. You would have to have a valid reason. Prep that before you call uscis and make the request, make sure you have proof supporting request

Your doing a CR-1 or IR-1 which takes 10 months for the interview with USCIS. You must mean 86 days after your interview to get the I-130 approved.

I am doing CR1. You dont get to choose, the ploy determining factor is that you were married less than 2 years before, so you are CR not IR. Yes, that's correct, 86 days from submit to I-130 approval, no mention of interview

I am so worried about the interview as they have been living in two different countries for the past 13 years. LPRs have been known to generally follow the same timeline as USC applying and in some cases ive seen faster, but not sure if the trend has changed now with covid. It's frustrating but theres no real answer on how quick, but in many cases a 4-6 month timeline recently on a well-prepared application. I would check out visa journey to see timelines!

The nvc send his documents to the embassy we received the email where they saying our request for expedited was approved so he want to know what he need to do or he just have to wait for them communicate with him.

@@myrondelapaz9579 ours was not financial duress, and I would be a bit careful with that one if that is a reason you're considering an expedite, esp w/ the new public charge law in effect. For us, it was because of mandatory civil duty required in my husband's home country. The adjudication of your I-130 will depend on a few factors, some of the important ones being your service center and if you're USC or LPR. what's your priority date and what service center are you at? If you keep monitoring your account, if you see the date change again after 2/23, it's a good indicator that they are actively reviewing your case.

@@marny125 I called USCIS when my case was still there. And then once I advanced on to NVC level, all my inquiries were to the NVC. If your case is just awaiting an interview, then most likely the NVC is still handling your case unless they sent it off to the embassy, but you should be able to see where it is if you login to your CEAC acc't

I am not familiar with a re-entry permit. Whether you've done a biometric exam in the past or not, just make sure that it's within the threshold before interview so it hasn't expired

USCIS Returned my petition for the second time and I’m so clueless on why. Maybe someone can help me. My petition was return stating that my payment amount was incorrect ($1760.00). It also states, “Based on the selection made under Part 2 Application Type or Filing Category, the Form I-944 and or/ Form I-854EZ are required.” After all my research, my payment in the amount of 1,760, and all forms filed was all I needed. (I-864, I-765, I-130, I-132, I-130, I-130a and I-485). Can someone tell me if I missed something and the correct amount I need to pay for filing.

Devi Ohira yes USCIS has accepted our expedite on may 7th they said we will hear from them within 45 days on may 19th they asked one document my husband has to submit his divorce decree of his previous mariage he has submitted the nisi but they want the decree and they sent us a letter via mail we need to mail back this letter along a copy of that divorce decree they said

Hi Devi I filed my i130 online on sep 2019 and I got receipt number starting IOE and I received a receipt from Texas service center when I called uscis during Jan 2020 they said it was at Texas service center and now current date in Texas is in dec 2019 and my application is not approved yet I called uscis they said it is in Nebraska I am confused why they say different service center every time can u help how I can find where my application is at ?

hi Tony! sorry for the late reply. at the beginning of the year sooo many people's cases got transferred from one service center to the next. I think they are trying to adjust as they migrate to more online filing. I would call them or chat with Emma the online service tool to find out. some people actually didnt even know where their case ended up until they got their approval. strange!

im not familiar with CRBA so I'm not sure on timeline quickness but to combat that, did you already submit? I would submit with strong cover letter explaining presence situation. You can always do an I-130 and try to expedite there as well. The only hassle is the filing fees

Our congressman passed away earlier this year unfortunately. They have not filled his seat yet and no word on when they plan to host an election to do so. I filed my petition on 04/20/21 but my husband lives in a crime ridden country and he already has been robbed twice. The police are corrupt also. I’m trying to get his case expedited ASAP! hi there! wow what a range of countries, so cool! You can file to get an exception but the standard is that you must have met in person at least once. I would definitely have friends and family write affidavits on your behalf to be submitted with application, you should also write your own letter articulating why you truly haven't been able to meet before in person. Proof of your relationship will be huge for this
