This is one of the most simple videos about shocks that shows an oil leak and a bad shock in simple terms that anyone can understand. I agree with you on the 50-70K replacement. My small car had KYB struts and I replaced the rear after 100K and the shocks were soft but still functioning OK, the springs were broke due to high mileage (300K).

Wrong. U don't want a shock to shoot back up on its own. That's like having just a spring in your car. The shock should resist the rebound of the springs

@@jackadamz3 shocks are supposed to control the speed of the spring. Are bad shock is one that moves in and out without any effort
