Nice video! I just killed my whole lawn to start fresh with perennial rye and KBG. Had way to much crap grass and fescues.

Thanks for watching! Yeah I think sometimes starting fresh can be a good idea. It allows you to know what's actually in your lawn and how to best control it.

Another great video! Do you utilize extensions that are specific to your location, or the more general, "expert" ones (e.g. Purdue seems to be one of the primary resources that many "professional" turf-care individuals and organizations use)? Or maybe you're fortunate enough that Purdue IS relatively local to you?

Thank you! Purdue just happens to be closest to me. I've also used Illinois and Michigan State before. They so extremely helpful for pretty much anything someone would want to know about grass.

I just redid my yard in November and it looks great now .I fertilized about 5 weeks ago with scotts starter fertilizer as it is sod .I was looking into the grass and there are some yellowing in the base of the grass is that a fungus? because that's what killed my lawn last year .I'm in the process of renovating my backyard I. the same way as the front . I just want to be ahead of anything coming up. I cur every week almost to the day. any advice

Thanks for watching. So your new section is sod? I know with sod you have to water it a lot to get it to take so a lot of times people accidentally over water it starting out. This could definitely cause disease if there isn't enough airflow due to having so much water.

I need help identifying / confirming that I have an infestation of Bermuda in my tall fescue. I’m trying fusillade but I have so many more questions.

I have patches of yellowish grass on my lawn and I have checked it does not have any disease. Can you please tell me what's causing those patches of grass color to be different than other dark green color? been looking for answers for long time. Much appreciate.
@OutoftheWeeds2 жыл бұрын
If the grass isn't discolored due to disease then it could be a few things. Without seeing a picture I can't say for sure but can give you a few things to look up and see if they are it. Does it look like the light green grass at the end of the video? Poa Annua is light colored and usually goes to seed heads. Another lightly colored grass is poa trivialis. Also light colored grass can also be a nitrogen or iron deficiency. Does the grass look similar and blend in well with your other grass or is it a completely different blade width?
