recently bought 3 weeks now and i am discovered i got fur roommates with all the noise i heard at 3AM in the morning. I was wondering why the poop i saw looked massive, and even though it was a squirrel. How did you remove them from your home?

Your enthusiasm with rodent faeces is both impressive and a little disconcerting. Thanks for info without a painfully long video. Never been to Santa Clarita but sounds beautiful (despite the rodents).

Is it possible 5o have both in the same space? I caught a field mouse in the garage and then put the trap bacj in the same spot with some grated cheese in the trap and came back to find no grated cheese.... so im thinking, is it a smart mouse? Is the mouse too small to trip the door? Or is it a rat who can get its head in there without the door closing fully cause hes too big and then managing to leave it open.... 🤔 i think ive only seen mouse droppings though... and i took the mouse across the road... do we think it came back and remembered the trap and knew how not to trigger it? 😅 p.s i changed the food to peanutbutter so they cant take it, they have to go right in...

How do their poops break? Are they hard? I found something that looks a lot like rat feces, but it’s soft and leaves a mark like from coal. It could be coal from candles, but I’m not sure.

I'm having a mouse infestation and NEED to ask an expert a question about the poop I'm seeing, to help me identify mouse or rats! I'm finding very few tiny, "black, pointy-tipped poops" on my carpeting that are barely noticed! Funny thing is I'm seeing much more poops that look "white/tan-colored" that are slightly bigger, firmer, and hidden under my furniture! When i see mice, they are brown, not black, and they really dash FAST around the house, up and down furniture, and make lots of "noise", are getting up into my cabinets, and they "squeel and seem to be talking to each other?". Are they a Mice or a type of "smaller-sized" Rat??? I've tried looking for the "whiteish-colored" poops on Google...but cant find any info to help to identify which critter I have been infested with? I have begun using: Snap traps, Sticky traps, poisoned foods (w baking soda), and been cleaning their droppings like Mad! You said mice are curious and follow smells, rats are erratic and "fall into a sticky-trap, right?

So I dont have a mouse or rat problem, I actually found a mouse at work, that had a botfly in it, I removed it and cleaned her wound, but her poops are even tinier then a mouses..so idk if that's normal? Or maybe its something else?? Idk, cause her poops don't look like the small pointed ends poops?

I am only finding droppings in one corner of my house. I've never seen this before as I've had experience with mice infestation in the past. There are no trails and no droppings by any entryways. So I am baffled. What is going on???

Yup ! I’m currently battling a rat or mouse. Cause I moved my couches a few days ago after we caught a big rat 😭. But we heard scratches again in the ceiling. I only found just a little bit of poop on one corner of our living room. But everywhere else no.
@mandynewman823410 ай бұрын
There’s a small rodent somewhere in my living room. I don’t know if it’s a baby rat or a mouse. All I’ve seen of it is its hind quarters and worm tail disappearing under my sofa. It came in 3 days ago, when I left my balcony door open while putting out laundry. I don’t hear any scratching, and have only had visual contact briefly at night, but I find droppings in the morning. I have moved all my furniture, swept, vacuumed and mopped the floor, sprayed vinegar and put citrus peel under the furniture, and also have an electric rodent repeller plugged in. There is no food left in the room overnight and all doors are kept shut overnight. I don’t yet have money for a trap ( later this week I will) and I don’t want to kill it, just catch and release. So I’m hoping this video will help me determine the identity of the rodent, and what kind of trap and bait to use. It must be hungry and thirsty by now and I don’t want to find it dead.

So, it’s poop would suggest it’s a mouse, not a rat.

Would I ever just find 1 piece of poop or a bunch of them?
@lauriejkase31113 жыл бұрын
I have found that they return to the same places. So I would look for several piles sometimes a little spaced apart and along baseboards, underneath appliances, (especially under the fridge) and always be sure to set a live trap in your attic. I've been exterming for over 15 years.
@lauriejkase31113 жыл бұрын
P.S. The only reason I suggested setting a live trap up in the attic is that you never know forsure what kind of animals are taking up residence there. I've had calls from clients thinking they had roof rats in their attic and it turned out to be a nest of squirrels. I usually remove a nest of squirrels humanity. Hope this helps.

Why use glue boards, it's so cruel!!
@miaowminx3 жыл бұрын
Agreed - I've heard some serious horror stories about the injuries the rodents inflict on themselves trying to get loose. Only thing I can think of that's worse is using rodent poison, as the rats/mice either suffer horribly or get killed by a predator (cat, dog, bird, etc.) that then is dangerously or fatally poisoned as well.
@TonyEnglandUK3 жыл бұрын
@@miaowminx I don't have much sympathy for rats or mice but for me, humane traps were far more successful anyway.

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂Some people have no concern about the diseases and the risk of bite these nasty creatures can do to a child or an adult instead they care of the mice survival😂😂. This is not mickey mouse sweety or you clean pet mouse but these are nasty dirty sewage mice that will eat the cables in your house and eat your food from your food closet.

Mice and rats might be unwanted visitors in your home and considered pests, but they are sentient beings, just going about their business, they don't know it's your home, they are not deliberately causing you strife. They deserve a better death than the disgustingly cruel glue traps.
@monember27223 жыл бұрын
What do you suggest?

@@monember2722 something that kills them instantly without causing them uneccessary pain or distress. Snap traps are still the best method baited with peanut butter.
