Sir I have a question. "I am going" in this sentence 'am' is a helping verb and going is a main verb. According to your teachings if present participle is not verb then what is the main verb in above sentence..

My friends laugh at me . Here the verb ' laugh ' is transitive or intransitive. ?? Sir kindly reply me. Here i m very consused. It look like # 'Laugh' is transitive because 'me ' receives that action. OR, # 'Laugh ' is intransitive because 'me' is an object of the preposition 'at' so the verb has no object.
