How To IGL On Apex Legends

The worst part of IGL is your teammates listening to you and trusting you and you get everyone killed so really its learning how to deal with failure as a leader no one to blame

Thanks Dazs. I’ve been trying to IGL more with my randoms and it’s definitely hit or miss but I still roll with it. Currently a lower rank so maybe that’s why it’s not taken seriously but I try to play like I’m in plat lobbies. I’m in silver now didn’t play much ranked for season 14

I feel like the best way to get randoms to follow is to get knocks and cracks. For some odd reason, if I start fighting and I'm alone, but I start getting knocks, my teammates will stop what they're doing to come help. Not sure why people play this way, but I can wait and ping that I'm attacking and they won't even bat an eye in my direction. But the moment you show that you're capable of doing something in the game, they usually are willing to follow. I guess this goes with the confidence thing you mentioned. Also, not sure if it's just me, but I tend to get Bangalores, Horizons, Wraiths and Octane mains that will take the IGL when playing with randoms. Sometimes Bloodhound (I would wish more Bloodhounds would, as they're recon and would be best suited in the front and providing info.)

Because you are showing competence as a leader and affirming your skill. People see that and are drawn to that because apex is a blood sport ruthless game. The best rise to the top and are given the attention (tsm imperial hal, aceu, faide, etc) and the worst are forgotten and skewed into history.

I honestly believe apex need some kind of IGL mechanic. Where as though you can Que up to be IGL which means you're responsible for leading your team. I understand in Apex this probably won't be possible due to how fast some people die at the start. But the reason people die so fast is cause they go to high populated areas. For example! Worlds Edge where everyone drop where all the buildings are at. Im def IGL but at same time i dont mind letting someone else take over to be IGL when playing bad or dont have the energy to IGL. I was playing yesterday with Valk and lifeline. Lifeline goes down soon as we drop. I ping valk to run away cause it was alot people in the area. I told Lifeline don't leave so we can Craft her banner. Thank God they both listen to me throughout the whole game cause we ended up winning end game against a duo.

Keep up the grind in Platinum and patience. If you are climbing in Platinum, its all about time at that point. If you are hard stuck, focus on rotation and back out while you are ahead. Don't get greedy pushing around Promenade when you know you will get thirded if its early game.

I just lack the time. With everything going on, I have been playing catch up since situation that last happened. With work, Holidays, and KZbin. Just a hard juggle atm. Will be sticking with just Apex Legends and ensuring putting out good content!
