how do you partially delete the lines like that? when i have to edit a sketch i have to redraw a huge chunk after it connects to the next line.

Thanks for the video! At 4:45 you extrude a part of the image and then it disappears. How do I get that back? I got a design where I wanna extrude multiple parts with all different heights

No problem! Great question that I should have mentioned, sometimes after an extrusion like that the sketch will get hidden. if you go over to your browser on the left, you can make the sketch visible again.

@@JakeVirdenTech no worries, I appreciate you making a video about this, it makes it sooo much easier and faster to get a 3d model in a matter of seconds!

Jake how did you clean up those lines?
@JakeVirdenTech2 жыл бұрын
For the most part, I just use the trim tool on the sketch to clean up the lines. Then if I need to replace a line, I typically use different types of line arcs.

Note that Inkscape is a much better way of creating svg (vector) images. It can also trace outlines.

Ok I have a question. I’ve been searching all over the internet for even a course or something that I could take because I’m wanting to make my own cookie cutters/stamps. This looks right about the right path would you happen to be able to do a tutorial on how I could do both a cookie stamp and cutter?

This is very cool! Can you also use the offset feature when bringing in a design like this?
@JakeVirdenTech3 жыл бұрын
Glad to hear you enjoyed it! I haven't tried the offset feature when importing it, but I imagine it could be used!

Thanks for the help! dread doing tracing a canvas to make an object T-T
@JakeVirdenTech3 жыл бұрын
No problem! Ah yes I was tracing things for quite a while too until I started importing SVGs, big time saver lol!

how to you scale an imported svg file? Seems like all you can do is extrude it.
@JakeVirdenTech3 жыл бұрын
Once the SVG is imported, you can highlight the sketch and usually select the scale function. If it does not let you, it might be because the lines of the svg are disconnected somewhere.

While a decent video, there was nothing showing how to convert to 3D object as you just done like a time lapse that didnt show anything sadly.
