This is a really exciting development that I've only just learned about now after having used Eagle for years, and Fusion360 for 3D designing project boxes and models for the last year. I understand from a comment here that Eagle full version is still more fully featured. Is that still the case? Right now I would love to import the shape from a Fusion sketch into Eagle to make a board outline... hope this is possible

can please someone tell me how I get several of these imported electronic designs in the same Fusion window? Nobody shows that.

I have several boards designed in Eagle and successfully imported them to Fusion 360, but how do I link the existing 3D model and libraries as well?

I think we might be having some issues with that at the moment...but do me a favor and post this question over on the forum. Our best and brightest are over there to assist (and others can find the answer to this when it's answered!) forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-electronics/bd-p/6071

I look forward to my first project using fusion to help me design my boards plus casing so that conflicts are easy to find and fix before any commits

I remember my hacky way of designing things around my boards, in fusion, previously, which actually led to a few unforeseen design conflicts

exporting the 3D board models from my software was very hard to do so i hope this does well

it's amazing what you added in Fusion in the last update! When can we expect some long video tutorial that shows the whole electronics workflow? ...or is it so similar to Eagle that it's not needed?

It's pretty darn similar to Eagle, but we plan on adding more and more content in regards to this subject. Make sure to see the resources in the update video description (here, if you missed it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fn6pg5yle92WmNk)

could you import gerber files as well?

To the best of my knowledge, there is no way to do this at this time. That said, I'll have one of our experts take a look and weigh in on this.

Happy to realize I was wrong. From the expert: "Fusion 360 expands its electronic workspace by allowing users or our team to expand its capabilities using a C-Like language we call User Language Programming (ULP). This method is commonly use to export and import file formats. one of the import ULP included with Fusion 360 is to import Gerber files. It only supports basic 274x format. The imported file can be used as a template, not for editing." And see this image as well: www.dropbox.com/s/rps11de8op3bfyw/Import%20Gerber.png?dl=0

I’m a eagle user then what’s the best advantage of this feature? I want to use it if there’s more benefits

The main advantage is how easy this makes it to collaborate with MCAD teams. If that's not something you need to do, you may want to stick with Eagle as it has more capabilities than this tool as it currently stands.

The function of simply being able to view an existing Eagle schematic and PCB is waaaaaay too tedious. Why do we have to create a project, and a design etc etc just to view an existing Eagle file? To my mind, all we should have to do is just "Open Eagle file for viewing" and pick a file from local computer. Better yet, "Open Eagle File for Viewing" should be able to fetch an open an Eagle file direct from a GitHub address too. (I'm grumpy about you, Adafruit!)

Or, why not just open an Eagle epf file? It's way too complex.
