Hi, this video is very helpful and i have added a number of gpx files to Google Earth. But they will not show up all at the same time...they only show up one at a time. How can I get all these files to show at the same time?
@HungaroExplorer3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Ron! Not sur eif you import GOx fike or KML files. When you import them they usually go to the Temporary Folder and from there you have to cooy them to your ither folder where you have the rest of your tracks. They should all show up! Otherwise, I am not sure why they show one by one…

Great video! Is there a way to create a link to share to friends your gpx tracks? One that will simply open Google Earth web on their computer and let them see and zoom in on my GPX track and waypoints?

Thank You Brian! I don’t think there is a link like that. Maybe on the new online Google Earth, but I didn’t explore that one much. I prefer still my offline maps.

Hi! Thanks for the video! Is there any way to make a video clip of the trail after importing from my Garmin watch? I would like to add it to a hiking video I am making as a different point of view. Thank you

Thanks for the question! To record a video I would use Quicktime player and record the screen. You can play your track while recording it. I am not sure if it is a better way for recording it. Hope that helps.

Hi! Does anyone know if it is possible to export my heatmap from Strava to Google Earth?
@HungaroExplorer3 жыл бұрын
I am not sure if that is possible. If you can download the heat map from Strava and convert it in one the file types Google Earth recognize, I see it possible, otherwise I don't think so.

Is there a way to import tracks/routes (GPX) to Google Earth or Google Maps on mobile (Android)? Been looking for a way to download tracks/routes and importing them to Maps or Earth on my phone. All my search results seem to yield guides on how to import on PC, but I can't very well bring a PC on a hike, so I thought I'd ask :)
@HungaroExplorer4 жыл бұрын
Great question! I wouldn't use Google Earth for navigation purposes, is more like a showcase of your hiking routes, which you can analyze at home. But, yes you can download Google Earth on mobile, and under the "projects" menu you can load KMZ files, and it will show up on your mobile. It is a little bit more complicated because many apps only export in GPX or KML format and not KMZ, so that is why I like to stick with Google Earth on the PC. I hope that helps!

@@HungaroExplorer Thanks for the reply! If people don't use Google Earth/Maps for this, then that would explain the lack of information on the subject. Any chance you have a few recommendations of apps to use?

FYI Google Earth can convert GPX to KML. I have done this by importing GPX files from an app called MotionX GPS.
