Thank you for sharing. I am planning to bring with me 77 pounds of packaged roasted coffee ($450 worth) for commercial use. I don't have a company, and this would be my first import. My intention is to bring this coffee to the USA to test the market and to let potential clients try it. And later do major quantities. Do I need to register with the FDA and do the Prior Notice? Coffee bags need to be labeled, right? Do I need the phytosanitary certificate? Help is a appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, all commercial food imports are required to be FDA and other agency compliant. For example, a few of the requirements include: FDA Registration Prior Notice Labeling Requirements When roasted, the cert. mentioned is often not required and I'd need more information. Commercial shipments are denied entry without being compliant for the US food market. Questions or comments, my calendar www.timforrestmarkets.com

Hello Tim, My name is George, and I’m glad I found your information on KZbin. I’m looking to import ready-to-drink canned coffee from Armenia to the United States, and I need guidance on the entire process, from start to finish. Specifically, I’m seeking help with meeting FDA requirements, U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations, and all other necessary steps to launch my business here. I believe your expertise could be invaluable to me. Could you please let me know your preferred format for discussing details, pricing, and how we can work together to make this happen?

You are able to accomplish this withuout owning a facility in the US. There are many locations that will rent you space to store product and go forward. Also, we provide office and agent assistance to comply with rules of having US based personel.

Hi sir can you please named the product that us mostly import and which is the most demanded food

Thank you for your note, Ali. The United States is one of the world's largest importers of food and agricultural products, with imports totaling around $140 billion according to the USDA. The primary countries exporting food to the U.S. include Canada, Mexico, and the European Union, among others. Key Categories: Fresh Fruits & Vegetables: A significant portion of fresh produce is imported, especially during off-seasons. Meat & Poultry: While the U.S. is a large producer, it also imports specialty meats and organic options. Seafood: Over 80% of the seafood consumed in the U.S. is imported. Dairy Products: Specialty cheeses and other dairy products are commonly imported. Processed Foods: This includes snacks, beverages, and ready-to-eat meals. Hope this helps to provide some insight into your question, Ali. Regards, Tim

Want to import par boiled basmati rice from Pakistan/India to USA?? What will be import duty and other charges at the US custom??
@TimForrestConsulting Жыл бұрын
Thanks, Sad Story. My advice is to ask your customs and freight broker about the specific charges for the product. I don't expect there would be import duties on this and my guess does not replace the appropriate research and validation. We will source this information for various projects when necessary. There are several questions and additional information I'd require to source a quote. Best of luck in your efforts and thank you for the comment.

What do you think from Mexico?
@TimForrestConsulting Жыл бұрын
Yes, how will you add value since many people and organizations bring products from Mexico. Be innovative and provide additional services and ease of ordering for customers. What special value can you bring? Who can you team-up with in the States to partner into the market? Begin small and expand.

Is that applies to cosmetic as well ? Do you send samples to FDA prior to my products arrival for testing or they do the testing upon products arrival?
@TimForrestConsulting2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, James. I've not worked with cosmetic samples and the FDA. I'm not aware of the rules and structure of the cosmetic industry and FDA, rules on arrival etc... It's a huge industry and I'm certain you will be able to find people to help. If not, come back and I'll ask my contacts for references to people that might be able to assist your efforts.

You do need a license to sell seafood. Also, there's so much information not mentioned pertaining to CBP and Tariffs. Maybe make another video
@TimForrestConsulting3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the terrific comment. Yes unlike most food, seafood is a very special category of food stuffs and requires additional review and documentation. I've enjoyed success importing seafood. It's important to be aware of the requirements on marine fisheries for importers. For most food item imports, tariffs will not be a concern and does warrant review.
