Some reconditioned cars imported from UK have not originally come with airconditioning. And at the time of auction they do slight modifications. what happens when an external A/C unit is fixed would be that the ECU or the immobilizer unit will not recognize the extra pulling power needed to run the A/C. This might result in lack of torque and in long term some crankshaft pulley related issues unless the body computer nd ECU is not professionally updated for the mechanical changes. So you gotta be mindful about the options which were available originally.
