Unbelievable! I needed to learn how to import wavetables into Vital and video uploaded 3 hours ago shows up.

I’m from your future and have a Time Machine and happen to be the guy who created the largest collection of wavetables in human history. It’s your lucky day! (Buy lottery ticket right now.)

You can’t really beat it for value for money (though I like modwave better as my wavetable-synth-of-choice). I mean free/donatiomware + $29-or-less for Mathwaves, it’s a heck of a combination. 🤷♂️😃

@@kcrosley All your fault, but, yeah, I am LOVING ModWave a lot. I will wait for their next sale and buy NATIVE version.

Just got your collection at the holiday price. It's massive. I just wished it was curated a bit, so it's easer to find a certain sound-type. I'm a bit overwhelmed.

Hey there, @tombruckner2556, thanks for your support! I realize it's not the same thing as a well-written guide, but my KRC Mathwaves playlist (kzbin.info/aero/PLrpwUaHrI9tOHSLCcPc_pDjelYK1fYcoQ) covers each category of waveforms/wavetables in sort of chronological order of development. As a cool starting place, consider just downloading the latest collection "Synth Sort and ZCross". My most recent video explains what these are and gives some tips on how to use them! Hey Keith. Is there any synth you LOVE? Software synth or Hardware synth (NO EURORACK allowed) ? A/nd do you like OMNISPHERE? To me, SERUM sounds HORRIBLE and SHRILL. I own it and AVOID using it WHENEVER POSSIBLE. Sidebar: It is ridiculous that LOOM II did not include a SCALABLE UI. Thanks. MOST BEAUTIFUL UI?? Oh, glad you asked. THAT"S EASY: XILS LABS, POLYKB III.

@@watchaddicts1213 I do love Omnisphere, though I haven’t used it in a while. I wish it were a bit easier to get one’s own samples into it (maybe it’s easier in the latest versions) as the granular engine is fun there, and I think the effects are really fun and great as is the arpeggiator (I also have the various expansions for it like Trillian). I own Serum mostly because of the Wavetable editor and well, it’s probably the most popular Wavetable synth. As I mentioned previously, I love Korg modwave and wavestate. I’ve owned quite a bit of Dave Smith/Sequential gear but the ones I still have are the PRO-2 (mono synth) and Prophet 12 (digital oscillator/analog filters polysynth). I will never get rid of my Nord Modular (guess I should get into VCV Rack) nor my Emulator E4K (and I wish Emulator X were still around/modernized). I also have a near complete collection of E-mu ROMs that I keep around for use in a PX-7 Command Station (though those sounds are all available as multisamples from Digital Sound Factory and I have all of those and converted most of them to Korg multi sample format). Oddballs: Waldorf Pulse 2 (awesome arpeggiator), Alesis Micron (wild early VA architecture, old-skool 16-voice multitimbral). Drum machine: Elektron Analog RYTM (I have a MK1). Thinking about Omnisphere again, it should get an update that would allow modern wavetable import. How awesome would that be? There must be some soft synths besides the Korgs that I love, but drawing a bit of a blank. Have spent a lot of time in Reaktor I guess. Not a “synth” per se, but I do like Maschine a lot (you could say love since I seem to own nearly every incarnation of the hardware).

Hey hey. How to import them into Current?
@kcrosley6 ай бұрын
I’ve not tried Current… I’ve been wondering how long it would take for someone to ask this question… Chat, does Current have wavetable import?? In the meantime, have you tried reading the friendly manual? (The manual for Current that is.)
@_andreypetr_6 ай бұрын
It support single import and pack import. But pack is different format I guess
@kcrosley6 ай бұрын
@@_andreypetr_ I’ll look into that, but I suspect this might be an overthought format not unlike the “Ana 2” format that I mention in this video…
@kcrosley6 ай бұрын
@_andreypetr_ according to the Current docs, you can drag and drop individual wavetables into the wavetable oscillators. I would *assume* that it would properly understand Serum style .wav wavetables. You could grab the KRC Mathwaves Sampler from www.wavetables.lol/l/free and try it out (I'd be interested to know if they work properly). Obviously, this isn't a great way to explore a large collection of wavetables, though!
@_andreypetr_6 ай бұрын
Of course it isn't :) And yes, it works with wav files, I just wanted to know how to import them all. It works with folder too, but the folder should contain the wavetables so no subfolders
