I remember when I was still a student, everytime I talk in English the whole class will laugh at me, but the teachers were always there to encourage me, in grade ten class term one I failed I found myself be last position. But the teachers were always encourage me not to give up. Term two I found myself position one , until I completed my secondly level I was just on same position and I became a head girl of that school . What a great thing can God .

Thank you so much for wonderful stories 🙏.. all these things happen to me nearly Two or three years ago when I was in school I'm very afraid to speak with other people who can speak English fluently then me but my teacher always says to me he says: if you want to be fluent in English you must put yourself deep into the language use English every day and every time it doesn't matter if you make mistakes because when you make the mistake it's Will helps you to grow up your language so from that time I always try to speaking by own self 😂 that's very funny and then now I can speak better than before even tough my English isn't perfect atles I can make a small conversation and have friends with people from all around the world 🌎

In a country like Sri Lanka, main issue is that people get nervous when it comes to speaking in English. Feeling awkward and being nervous about getting judged or being laughed at make them stop trying to improve themselves. One day a teacher of mine told us, speak freely,and introduce yourselves.no one here will laugh at you. When it was my turn i made this silly mistake intentionally just to check if he was being honest when he said so. I said , My late father was a teacher and he passed away a few HOURS ago .. Well , the teacher was the first and the only one who cracked up.😂 So.. it's not guaranteed to say that no one will laugh at your mistakes.. everyone will.or they won't. It just doesn't matter. Just ignore them all , or you also can join them and laugh at your own mistake and move forward until you get fluent.keep trying. ❤
