Your Japanese accent is great! I wasn’t aware of the different pitch accent for compound words! Thanks for explaining!

As you may know I've been watching your vids. Thank you for inspiring me to care about focusing on pitch accent! I do plan to move to Japan so it would be helpful to be understood and sound less like a foreigner that they use english to respond back hahaha (I think dogen did a skit about an employee responding in English after using Japanese tho the context was diff). Anyway cheers 🎉!

This was super helpful! I’ve been studying Japanese for years but the accent part especially was a key new learning!

I have been pondering using iTalki for just normal conversation which I feel its where I'm still a bit stiff... Not sure how it would be for that use case
@ebifried
@ebifried Жыл бұрын
for sure! i use italki for everything, not just conversation and pronunciation :) it took a while to find the teachers i regularly go to, (i have 21 in my history lmao) but i highly encourage it, super worth it once you find a teacher that clicks with your learning style! you also get 3 very affordable trial lessons (and that $5 off link) so its def worth checking it out :D
