I think that the sensitivity of the turning is frustrating. So many times I try to turn into a grind and end up reverting. So annoying. Still an amazing game with so much potential

Try adjusting the revert sensitivity, bud. I was having the same problem until I discovered this option and changed it.

I find the why skater xl accomplishes this is much better as it is more of a deliberate input. < left analog > right analog for front side and > left analog < right analog for backside, to powerslide and add LB or RB to revert completely. It also makes it possible to do tail and nose powerslides with reverts. It makes more sense aswell because your gesturing what you feet do.

Appreciate you making this...I love Session and Skater XL. Agree with pretty much everything you were saying in this about the improvements that could be made and hopefully they take notice of a lot of these things and make adjustments. Ive always been a big fan of skateboarding games ever since TnC Surf&Skate and SkateOrDie on the original NES and its cool to see how far theyve come since then. On the subject of people comparing stuff between Skater XL and Session.... Session has the cosmetics/look down pat and the vibe of searching a little chunk of a city. Its a more texture rich raw feeling about the environment. Its a little more technical in how the game mechanics are setup and the amount of tricks are actually in the game. Skater XL has the feeling and natural flow ability in the controls. Not as specific but youre in control of that. XL also has an awesome editor and mods from a great community with added content constantly. Both are way different and in my opinion both are equally cool feeling and worth playing depending on your own personal taste.

Ivan Vasiljev if you hold down THEN do a scoop and make sure you pop upwards, there should be no issue. Getting into pressure means you are taking the back foot joystick and pushing it to the left or right WITHOUT pushing it down first.

You can reset your sticks for tricks out of grinds when stick are "sidewasys" if you want. Just quick release and re input as normal ollie/fli ck

I can agree with pretty much everything. Biggest of all though is probably the spinning. It almost feels like pulling the trigger sets off an animation to spin opposed to naturally turn based on what you're doing - despite the settings saying otherwise. And is it just me, or is the turning WAY too sensitive? Like it's so hard to nicely line up for a trick because a tiny tap on the trigger and you'll turn a sharp 45 degrees opposed to a small adjustment of just a few degrees as intended. Its like you're constantly having to tap really lightly left and right to make minor adjustments.

Everytime i explain this to people they just tell me i just suck at the game. But seriously, it is really hard to line up tricks because everything throws the skater off. Either i turn to quick, or the grind wont lock in correctly and it just feels so off.

@@iSeeEZEkill Yeah I totally agree, I honestly havent played in months because it feels like you're constantly having to fight the game to do what you want. I last about 20 minutes before I give up and go back to Skater XL

free camera better imo when you walk, don't like this fixed at all. Can get way better views with it. you can DOUBLE tap left or right trigger and your character will pop off on that side. I love this feature. It's how I do double grinds. I use timed for my body speed.. Pressure was better in the earlier builds.. idk how they ruined it but i've learned to use timed mode the best agree with the option for trick height! I like the lower height but think it should be slightly higher or they could add an option like you said. I think they will do so much with this game.. they've done a good amount already. It feels so much better than the backer days. Can't wait for vert! I think that will help so much for everything

I agree with all these. One more thing is I hate how you can't powerslide into a polejam to boardslide into it without popping. I hope creature sees this video.

For the turning out of the grinds. You have to double tap the trigger depending on where you want to go. I still think this is stupid.

The only thing that honestly bugs me out is that the devs were talking about "pure physics-based gameplay" but session feels like a fucking Tony Hawk game. I was so excited and waited so long for a skate sim without physics.

right, like what absolute trash are they talking about it being the dark souls of skate simulation. Get lost with your janky controls, input lag and low skill ceiling. Tony Hawk is/was legit more fun!

Glitches are there because it's early access, which they tell you before you buy it. And you're talking about adding things to make it less realistic, while the whole point of the game is to be realistic. It just sounds like it's not the game for you. Also most of the things you talk about have already been confirmed that they're working on.

Bare in mind it's an early access game. It's being updated continuously. I think this game has huge potential to be the best street skating game available and I hope it keeps with the realism path and gets rid of everything that couldn't be done on a real skateboard. Something like Skate 3 would land between Session and Tony Hawk's in realism.
