26 years post stroke I definitely need a tune up on the function I have as it seems to be on the decline. But what my question is - Can a person gain back the function that they didn't gain back initially after the stroke 26 years later? Is there any record of this being done at any stage past maybe a year or so?

I have not encoutered one because most patients either stop doing exercises or are not consistent or that they have regained their movement and has recovered. The ones that were very motivated and did their program the whole day, imoroved a lot more and quicker
