I think you'd better get the tech guys onto it. meanwhile, i'm going back to the last version.....

I am not a software designer but I think you may be better off actually recording what happened and then submitting said recording with a written explaination to the appropriate authorities. Even if it's the software's fault, I don't think "It broke, pls fix it" gives adequate intel to fix said issue.
@Ana_crusis3 жыл бұрын
@@matevajda3176 I didn't say "it broke please fix it" never misquote people. I have adequately described the problem, why would i try and " record" it? @@Ana_crusis Dear Khasab, "But worse when I went to the site and downloaded version 3.6 firstly it had some problems installing and then, when it did install and I opened the program, it only opened for a few secods and then promptly closed again. !!! I think you'd better get a tech guy onto it." In other words "It broke, please fix it". You do not give any insight into neither the installations proccess nor the booting process, let alone the environment you ran the program in: without such intel, you can't really expect someone to succesfully replicate, isolate, and fix the issue. You can't just summon a software engineer by the snap of a finger out of thin air and expect them to fix your problems: in order for them to understand, you must illustrate the situation clearly, which you did not do. So in conclusioun, I did not misquote you, I merely summed up your substanceless sentences there. Nobody cares who you were addressing Khasab. The way you address "Martin" directly and basically order him to invest resources into a problem you can't even manage to properly introduce, thus it may very well be specific to you (which it so to say likely was, telling from your reply) and not require the allocation of workforce, just radiates such a vast amount arrogance that it won't go unnoticed. My advice purely concerns your manner of feedback: ▪︎You fail to to present your problem adequately ▪︎You expect your feedback to be accepted yet accept none yourself ▪︎Your manners are yet to be found I am not trying to help you: If anything, am trying to help the Musescore team by taking on such an insufferable person as you myself.
@jt_jeetee3 жыл бұрын
Dear Khasab, sorry you seem to be having issues. So far, there are two known issues with 3.6 leading to the crashes you're describing: (1) You're trying to open a score that was saved in continuous view and has a start repeat in it. The fix for this issue is currently being tested, so I'd expect a 3.6.1 release to come quickly. (2) In some cases (especially on Windows) the updater can't update one of the required files because another process is still using it. This might happen as well if you had 3.5 open at the time you started the installer. In this case, please take the following steps: 1. Reboot your PC. 2. Run the installer again and choose the "repair" option As for the automatic updater: we always delay activating that by a couple of days in case a serious new bug pops up. I expect it will be enabled in a couple of days when the fix for issue (1) above will be released as well. If you in the meantime do wish to go back to 3.5.2 then make sure to uninstall 3.6 first, as the 3.5.2 installer will otherwise quite because you have a newer version installed.

I'm sorry, but I'm going to be a sourpuss. The improvements are nice and I'm not going knock them, however I never had a problem with the appearance of Muse Score. My beef is with the sound fonts. The classical guitar doesn't sound like a classical guitar, the acoustic guitar doesn't like an acoustic guitar, the 12-string guitar sounds like a 6-string guitar, the mandolin is a joke, the diatonic harmonica sounds like a chromatic harmonica, the saxophone doesn't sound like a saxophone, and the steel drums don't sound like steel drums. What is Muse Score doing about this heart break? I haven't heard any improvements and I'm very annoyed about this neglected problem.

@@LafayetteLeSaint Cubase is a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation), that means you can record with it, it contains a lot of real instruments VST-plug-inns) and is used in studio's for recording cd's etc. Musescore originally is a notationprogram and very usefull for other band- or choirmembers, who can read music-notation, to share your idea's with. In my opinion it is never developed for having real saxophone-, trumpet-, guitarsounds. Though, some of the Musescore-fonts are very acceptable, I think.

This software is pretty out of touch. It hasn't evolved since Windows 7. Please add drag and drop. Scroll wheel for zoom in and out. Remove all the clutter. Add a Settings. Add options for light mode and dark mode. Add a select/pointer/drag tool. Make it faster to learn and less frustrating and buggy please. Make it more like apple makes their things
@jt_jeetee3 жыл бұрын
You can drag and drop any palette element to the score if you so wish (it'll just be a lot slower than simply clicking it). You can use the scroll wheel for vertical scrolling; Shift+wheel for horizontal scrolling and Ctrl+wheel for zooming in and out. Which "a settings" should be added? You can switch between light and dark mode in Edit > Preferences. You can also change additional color settings for them in Edit > Preferences > Advanced. You can select anything either by dragging a rectangle around it or by clicking it (or Shift-clicking for easier creation of bigger rectangles). All of the things mentioned above have been part of the software for over 2 years; so make sure to actually update it from the version you were using on Windows 7. [EDIT]: just for fun: Windows 7 was made available to the masses on October 22, 2009 according to wikipedia. At that time MuseScore was at version 0.9.5. Since then, it had 42 releases (musescore.org/en/handbook/developers-handbook/references/version-information); yes, clearly not evolved at all...
