been subbed for 2 years now and i dont think people realise how high quality all of your videos are. No one else explains things this well while still keeping it simple to understand. No one else improves and masters each specific mechanic like you do. If fortnite implemented each of these videos in a tutorial section everyone would be able to improve and even casual players would find it engaging. Easily one of the best teachers i've ever seen regardless of subject.

Billy, I’ve been playing Fortnite for almost 4 years. 3 years on Xbox. 1 year on pc. My controller aim has always felt uncomfortable and inconsistent. This video might finally help me stop overthinking it. You’re the man.
@Curty_YT3 жыл бұрын
Played cod multiplayer for 6 years as a kid. Had incredibly good aim on controller and was a quick scoping god. Aiming on Fortnite just doesn’t feel the same. But it’s definitely because I never figured out that you need to *keep constant movement on the right stick*. Wow. Honestly that really helped.
@heavenbound20303 жыл бұрын
@@Curty_YT Yeah same I used to be insane at quick scoping also (mainly on BO2). But that aiming skill really didn’t carry over to Fortnite. This game is just a whole different kind of beast when it comes to aiming and learning the game in general. Good luck with improving your aim 👍

KBM summary: - use a mousepad (a big one) - slow enough sensitivity (20-40cm for 360) - 1600 dpi for smoother and synchronized experience - use your fingers, not entire palm on the mouse - better posture, sit straight with your underarm on the desk
@antagonisf3 жыл бұрын
my personal tips: - try kovaaks, try both flicking and also tracking close + long range and practice on ones where u suck at - dont tense your right arm - good peripherals and rig do matter, higher fps and low ping helps - play more (obvious but easily overlooked) - dont warmup for too long it gets you tired - copying sens can work, just dont stick with it if u perform bad on it - change sens frequently can work, pro players do this to get off flight mode (u get lazy in this state), and it also improves your mouse control - finally: try the artisan pads if u have the money, things like the qck and glorious are very slow and should only be used in cago not a fast game like fn and plus those glorious pads are so slow that ur tracking is gonna flop

Why is Billy so underrated nowadays? The switch from wrist to arm aiming made my aim better not only in Fortnite, but other games as well. If you do prefer wrist aiming on the other hand, calibrate your sens such that you can do a full 360 without readjustments, and either increase it or decrease it to your preference. It requires a lot more precision though, so I recommend most people stick to arm aiming. It utilises your space better, it’s less susceptible to fatigue, and it’s healthier as well. Edit: When arm-aiming, use your arm for macro movements, and your wrist for micro movements. Don't let your wrist go slack all the time, or else due to inertia, your wrist will drag further, causing you to overshoot your shot. ONLY use your wrist as a micro-adjuster when your arm reaches your opponent.

Mirroring your opponent’s movements is debatable because it also makes it easier for him to track you, get tracking right then train tracking while moving
@BillyBicep2 жыл бұрын
Movement mirroring actually makes it harder for your opponent to hit you. Because this is an online game - what you see on your screen is much different than what your opponent sees on their screen. I've tested movement mirroring alternating strafe directions at about 90-120 BPM. On my screen I'm mirroring, but on my opponent's screen I'm strafing in opposition. Even between two low ping players, movement mirroring is the best choice
@tskillz2 жыл бұрын
@@BillyBicep I don’t currently have the best aim because I’ve stopped doing aim training to focus on other areas of the game such as editing but my aim is pretty insane when I do training, if what you mean by mirroring your opponent’s movements is: I strafe to my right you strafe to yours, then I apologize, I call that mimicking not mirroring, mirroring would be I strafe to my right you strafe to your left, mimicking is been better because by mirroring I always and I mean always get sprayed with a higher precision and hit with heavier pump shots at the 200 only box fight training map.
@tskillz2 жыл бұрын
This is Aimer7's guide for aiming content: • mirroring: you go right whenever (and only whenever obviously) your enemy goes left, and you go left whenever your enemy goes right, that is, you mirror the movement of your enemy. A lot of (bad) players confuse strafe aiming with mirroring. Do not listen to them, they don’t understand shit about movement skills and aiming skills in general, • anti-mirroring: you go left whenever your enemy goes left, and you go right whenever your enemy goes right, that is, you press the same movement keys as the target you aim at
@user-dnf83n0s8sg9u2 жыл бұрын
@@tskillz So mirroring is like circling around them? And anti-mirroring vice versa
@tskillz2 жыл бұрын
@@user-dnf83n0s8sg9u No, mirroring is moving to the same directions as your opponent. And anti-mirroring is moving the opposite directions as your opponent. Aimer7 has a pdf talking about aim in which he explains movement better than me. Mirroring would be bad because your relative position wouldn’t change either so even if you opponent has sucky aim he would still hit a lot of shots. Anti mirroring does have a circle ish movement but not around the player but around a imaginary dot.

I do think it is important for people to understand how dexterous they are. I remember people saying how fingertip is the best grip theoretically. I couldn't control it and refused to switch off of it due to my own ego causing me to have terrible aim. it was only when i switched to a more confortable grip for me (claw grip) that i improved my aim tldr; take the mouse grip advice with a grain of salt
@BillyBicep2 жыл бұрын
You say you couldn't control it, but isn't that what aim training is for? Learning to control your mouse with more delicate movements rather than bracing & gripping tightly. It takes practice, just like learning to use a lightweight mouse.
