If only the pit zero build didn't have enemy Nametags on 🙁 We seriously need someone to make a zero build free for all game (like pit or Red vs. Blue) just without enemy name tags. It's not normal to have a constant UAV out on all your enemys and vise versa..It makes it much more realistic without them on

This is the single best piece of advice I've ever gotten. I made this change 2 days ago. I did about 1-2 hours of creatives training each day, and my game has already improved SIGNIFICANTLY. I'm obliterating people with the auto shotty and beaming them in the air while they try to get grimey with the try-hard-giga-sweat pushes straight at me. I don't fear the medallions or mythics at all anymore. I can take them. I know people don't like to put in the practice hours, but 2-3 hours of training this on the various aim training maps Toby recommends will take your game to the next level.

I find 30 minutes a day is great for mastering any skill to avoid burnout. 2hours a day is not realistic if you got a normal schedule. I do agree with you tho. Every game I play I practice and experiment before going against anyone. It only makes sense otherwise in fn if you don’t practice you’ll be a loot box 😂

This is the single greatest tip I've ever heard on Fortnite. I turned off my reticle and just played regularly for a week. No practices, just straight into game. I turned on my reticle after a week and I kid you not, I never look at the crosshair anymore, just at my target and I'm so much more accurate now than I ever was. Thank you for this!
@necktiegaming

For those that are having a hard time comprehending what he is talking about here, let me put it like this.. For the hunters out there, when you shoot clay pigeons or actual birds, you aren't looking at the bead and the end of your shotgun barrel to line up the shot right. No, you're focusing on the clay pigeon or bird. Same goes for shooting any other weapon. The best competitive shooters don't close their non dominant eye when shooting.. Both eyes are open and focused on the target. The sights of their actual weapon are "out of focus" because their focus is on the target. I hope that helps explain it another way, because after all of my years playing FPS games, this video just gave me an AH HA moment when I thought about it like shooting real life weapons.
@Newuxtreme
@Newuxtreme 9 ай бұрын
Interesting, but if this is the case why is shooting taught ans considered correct with one eye close and lining up your targets then?
@necktiegaming
@necktiegaming 9 ай бұрын
@@Newuxtreme that’s true for longer range pistol shooting or rifle shooting. But for close range pistol shooting you keep both eyes open. In the Conceal Carry Classes and training I have taken they tell you to work on keeping both eyes open. Plus if you close an eye is a CQB situation, you loses ALL vision on that non dominant side. In turn causing you to lose situational awareness as well. Hope that helps.

Yes! It clicked in my mind that this is how I hunt and compete in open competitions. It just never clicked to do it on a smaller scale on a monitor. It made so much instant sense to me. I shoot distance and close with both eyes open. Unless the shot has to be precise. I am a switch shooter (left eye dominant, right hand dominant) so shooting with one eye closed makes me tilt my weapon. The best cure is to not close them.

This is a thing. I never considered keeping it that way though. Using crosshairX, im used to turning off the in game reticle, and sometimes forget to turn on "crosshairx" only to play without a crosshair for a while. Never once thought i could just stay playing with no reticle, but it honestly frees up attention better used elsewhere. Big improvement

This is absolutely fundamental and correct aiming advice. For beginners, focusing on your target will help with “lazy aim” and speed up your time to aim on target. For more advanced players, high visual focus helps you read opponents so you can better predict their movement and intentions. Once you understand your enemy better, you can make better decisions to defeat them!

Toby...my man. WOW! I am not a good player and my aim is trash but after watching this video, I jumped into a solo BR to try out your technique of not looking at the reticle and focusing on the enemy and don't lose track of them. It was amazing! I had to play 3 solo BRs just to make sure it wasn't a fluke and it's not. It didn't make me a good player instaneously and I won't be crushing lobbies but it definitely increased my aim 10 fold and working on this technique will only help me get better. I've been playing FPS going back to DOOM and no one has every taught me this. Thank you. I have you as my Item Shop creator but do you have a way for a 1 time donation. I feel like I owe it.

Great Tips! I practice everyday in red vs blue and the pit for at least twenty minutes and its helped me a lot. I relax my muscles and glue my eyes to opponents and let my gun follow whilst moving my character around. The more I focus on their movements and learn the timing, the more predictable it is to follow and land shots.

I spent about 11 hours playing yesterday playing with this theory. For me it was TOUGH. Sometimes it seemed to be an amazing improvement, others I couldn't seem to hit the side of a building. I went back and forth all day.... I do however believe most of the fault still lies on me and how I move. For whatever reason when I'm walking or running around the reticle is always at about knee cap level. This is something I've been working on because most of the fights I lose is because I am hitting them so low.. But I do think this method of reticle off had potential.

So for shotgun you have to be quick but accurate on the shot you can also try a map for quick reaction so you get the hang of it. for an ar dont look at the full crosshair when shooting someone only look at the dot in the middle since thats the thing you actually need to be precise about. I feel like everything except for snipers follow the ar strat

Fundamental thing I observed is the more relaxed you are better you think. we usually push panic button when we see enemy come towards us like jumping here and there too much. Have an attitude that’s ok if I am get killed , slow your heart beat and let the brain function properly

Traditional archery teaches the same concept: don’t try to aim your bow, use your intuition, use the same setup everytime, and your body will place the shot where it’s supposed to be. Eventually you’ll get so good the bow becomes an extension of your body.

A few weeks later after I have turned off my reticle, I feel like I am getting hits more often. Question though: in many of Toby's videos, the reticle is turned on? Is that just for demo purposes? Or does Toby cycle between reticle vs reticle off?

@@joeyc666 I recommend only training with the reticle off... turn it back on for real games.

you have some great videos one thing I'm struggling with though is when i'm flying through the Air after a shockwave my aim isn't the greatest ive been looking for an aim trainer where i can practice this but have had no luck so i was wondering if you knew any maps or if you could tackle this issue?

Something large and of good quality. I use an Artisan Raiden X soft... which is still a little on the small side but incredible quality and a surface like nothing else.

Brilliant stategy! My 7yo son kicks A in FN. After watching this i realized he's doing what you said and watching the players and not his cross hair. I'm not even sure he knew what that little + was for. :) I'm new to FN (just started with 5-1). I used to play a FPS that didn't use crosshairs, the tip of your gun was your targeting device. So my FN aiming is WAY off it's hard to unlearn. Definitely subscribed!

Thanks for the tips! Think you pointed out exactly on which points I can improve the most. Apparently I can't keep focus for more than 10 seconds 😁 To train the subconscious part juggling can help a lot. It takes a while but once you can keep 3 balls in the air while looking straight ahead your overall hand eye coordination improves by a lot.

Ima try this because my main problem is focus. I always zone out like i can never stay focused

Lowkey this explains why I aim better when I dont focus 100% on the reticle and just on the situation

It's a good way to train. It's more beneficial for players with a lot of input lag.

Hey Master Shinobi, I have enjoyed all your videos and they have helped me improve so much! The one thing that I (and others) still struggle a lot with is looting, wether it is at the beginning of a game or on the battlefield. If you make a video on that, you will get at least 1 view ;)

I asked myself, why does my aim suck so bad? Cross hair flying all over the place over leading my opponent. *Looks up videos on improving aim* and every video I watched they mention look sensitivity and practice, which aren't wrong but still felt like I was struggling. I was just changing the sensitivity of myself still focusing on the reticle to try to line up with my enemy. I watched this, booted up my PS5 turned my cross hair off and loaded up a aim practice level. Played it for 30min, no crosshair. Adjusted sensitivity to a comfortable level of camera movement while I keep my focus on my opponent. The result. I came back to subscribe, like and comment and dunno if Im ever gonna turn the reticle back on. Thank you! Feeling the difference in the practice aim level alone felt significant. Can't wait to try it in battle tomorrow.

Gonna try the no reticule method in zero pit and red vs blue for a bti today and see how it goes. I've tried the aim focus video of yours and some others but I really don't know if they help at all especially with so much colour in this game. AND an ultra wide.

Not even a minute in and you already answered a question I struggled for years lol (And I have a positive k/d on Cod 🤣) I’m always wondering, do I look at the reticle, the enemy? Both? Phew.

Good advices but my number 1 advice would be to spend some time adjusting your sensitivity. Aiming is easy when your mouse feels natural. Choose a DPI you like 800-1600 and just test test test

Some of the most annoying things are the interface advises, like when the eye of the storm is moving, closing, etc etc, and when one of your teammates is dead appears a GIANT written that tell you need to pick up his card. Can i turn them off? Like i litterally cant see enemies.
