Yoo i‘m a newbie and tend to lick my Fingers to get some grip on my serato Control vinyl. Should i Look for some slipmat to avoid wet Fingers? As an Instrumentalist i have to say your tutorials Are on Point! Your Thankfully loved Student.

Really appreciate the love! New slipmats can definitely help with the how free your vinyl feels over the mats, but I think ultimately, you’ll have to get used to the feel of the vinyl without locking your fingers. I’ve seen plenty of DJs do it, though. I would personally start practicing without locking them while also looking in to heavier slip mats for a little more grip.
