I gave in and bought two Injora sets, a 32mm and 40mm. My thought is reversing the springs reduces travel so if I use the 40 mm shaft I can retain the stock travel length of the 32mm.
@BullgearRCvideos3 жыл бұрын
I may have to look into the 40mm myself. Thanks for letting me know about them👍
@trailwomanrc3 жыл бұрын
@@BullgearRCvideos You are very welcome. It's an experiment but I'll let you know how it works in two weeks.
@trailwomanrc3 жыл бұрын
The 32mm (8mm travel when reversed) and 40mm (7mm) are not constructed the same, and not very compatible. The 32mm soft spring is too stiff. The softer spring in the 40mm works better in the 32mm shock when used in reverse. Combining the two sets did work well but not like I had hoped. I am happy with it and will make a video demonstration soon.
@ambaradan662 жыл бұрын
@@trailwomanrc Thanks a lot for your feedback. I'am waiting the delivery a set of 32mm. Injora's , bought'em to find out if they perform well enough with set ups like half droop rear/full droop front. BUT! Since you've experienced the softest springs of the included set are too stiff, first solution i can think of is "Penspring Hunting" until the ideal spring shows up . Sad the springs they come with are unusable with lite rigs.
@trailwomanrc2 жыл бұрын
@@ambaradan66 Yeah the springs in the 32 mm shocks are too stiff for forced droop. But if you use the springs from the 40mm shocks they work well together. My "Get low" video shows how they work in my green power wagon.

I just ran slow motion on your flex test and it appears the other wheel lifts substantially. If so, a softer spring and/or heavier wheel weights will optimize your potential flex.
@BullgearRCvideos3 жыл бұрын
At first when you said the other wheel lifts substantially, I thought you meant while climbing the incline with stock springs. And yes, the front right remained almost an inch off the ground, while after the mod, stayed on the ground. But after reading again, I think you are talking about while flexing over tire on bench. In which case, yes the softer the spring, or the more weighted the wheels, then of course the more potential flex. I'm sure the spring could even be shortened some to gain a bit more shock travel. Or a forced droop in front and a full droop in the back would also slightly increase flex( but may effect down hill incline) But over all, I think lcg has more benefits than extreme flex. I will continue experimenting as I want optimal performance from this rig. And share results. As far as tire lifting during flex test, I will double check with same scenario, but I don't recall the tire lifting from flexing over the tire obstacle
@trailwomanrc3 жыл бұрын
@@BullgearRCvideos I found the stock 32mm injora's softest springs so stiff that I looked to your video to see f the Hotracing were doing this too. I have some in the mail and can compare them soon. I think my new set up with forced droop is getting more dialed but some more wheel weight might make it just a bit better. It's a whole new set of physics variables. Yeah it really depends on your priority of terrain performance. The double barrel are no good on hills without some type of limiter. I found a central limiter retained each sides travel while limiting them both unloading together by half. In my Power Wagon this setup work for me but if my Gravedigger forced droop test is optimal I might swap my PW.

Wondering...Just like the G Transition shocks. Springs on both sides. Maybe cutting the spring to like 30/70 or something close would help as well. Put the smaller cut spring on top and the longer piece for droop on the bottom side like you did. What do you think. Maybe do a vid on that.
@BullgearRCvideos3 жыл бұрын
That would be like desert lizard shocks in 1/10 scale. That is what I run on my trx-4 hard body and it works good that way, but I think I will switch to full forced droop on that rig to counter the extra weight of the hard body even more, because the shocks are already fully compressed as it is.

I see a lot of the double barrel guys do the limiting straps👍
@trailwomanrc3 жыл бұрын
I would love to see how this performs on obstacles. Like will it hang up on it's center? How does it flex? I've run full droop double barrel on central limiters, and even found a way to run mostly droop with springs. Unweighting is minimal but not perfect. It runs well but I've been wondering about doing this for a while.

I have the same shock setup on my SCX24 hard body bronco, and have did a running video with that truck if you would like to see this type of suspension working. I can only assume that this power wagon will out perform the bronco easily
@trailwomanrc3 жыл бұрын
@@BullgearRCvideos After some testing it seems to me that if below the shock is heavier then the spring can lift it won't high center and will allow the wheels to drop when the center is suspended. The spring should be just strong enough to hold the body/chassis down on steep hills.
