Absolutely love what you did with the mask kind of reminds me of the reboot Jason mask which I really like that design and I love how you did it it also looks really realistic too it looks like hockey mask that has been in the woods for 50 years killing whatever comes there. Excellent paint work! Have you ever thought of using a heat gun around the edges to kind of curl the mask around the top of the head and sides a little more? I've never done one of these store bought masks, just 3D printed my own. Maybe another video to test the heat gun and reshaping?

Stunning work especially the individual planks 💯 Now imagine that with a light white wash covering 2/3 of it, then the powdered blue stripes (tiger claw scratched shape) overlayed. Add the usual nicks and cuts & a bit of blood splatter, Also similar to the added screw heads on the wood video add the diamond shaped pummels you find on medieval doors. Well That was my vision.

Awesome mask! My collection is growing thanks to you. Does Spirit Halloween have these masks in all of their stores? I was gonna buy JDF Studios' 2009 blank but since his shop is gone I can't buy any others except one that is $60. I thought the spirit Halloween masks were rounder and could easily pull off the 2009 look!

Sanding is just extra insurance to make sure the spray paint sticks really well. It's totally optional though. Usually I would sand a mask and spray it with primer first, but again it's up to you!

Hey Aleister! I get all of my craft paints from either Walmart or Hobby Lobby. I get my spray paints from Walmart or Lowe's. Usually the small bottles of craft paints are less than $1 each. I use Moccasin Brown and Burnt Umber, but it's not like those are the only light and dark brown options by any means. Michael's is another store that carries lots of paint as well.
