@Feranmi Oladokun You can do both. I suggest having them 1:1 and just focus on getting mouse control down. Dazs has many helpful videos on his channel to get you started.
@Dazs3 жыл бұрын
@Feranmi Oladokun practice your hipfire since that is where your first shot accuracy is going to go to initially. You can even change your sensitivity to match what your ADS is. Also your ADS sensitivity is slower made by most devs in games and scales to be slower. What you can do (If you like) is match that hipfire to your ADS in some games. I do that in Apex Legends for my 1x and 2x zoom.
@Dazs3 жыл бұрын
@Feranmi Oladokun Depends on the scenarios. Remember changing sensitivity settings does not "ruin" your aim. Remember that it helps improve your mouse control. Refining those muscles / Tendons. They take a longer time to grow anywhere between 2 - 3 weeks. Sometimes you can take time away and instantly improve. It is why Aimlab has that tracker to notice the amount of time you are putting in but also how much you are practicing. I hope that is helpful :)

Recently I've been trying this new method of improving my sensitivity where I played a super low sensitivity that I wasn't comfortable before. I came from 800dpi 2.5 in game. I want to have more consistency so I started switching to 1.5-1.2 800dpi. This sens is the best sens for apex. You have enough control and also have enough sensitivity for picking up loot and flicking around. So here's what I did. I go to strafetrack which is the second task in the tracking menu. I switch my sens to 0.6-0.8 800dpi and try tracking. Meanwhile I'm also utilizing arm aiming for this sens and also wrist aiming. Then I hop on to gridshot and try to hit as much circles as I can with a low sens. After that, I'd bump the sens up again to see if I still have inconsistent overshooting or poor tracking. This helped me alot in terms of tracking and also teaching me how to position your aim in game. I used 0.7 800dpi in pubs to warmup and I am forced to pick the loot I want and aim at a direction where enemies would attack from. Hope this helps you. Don't force stuck yourself in one sens, that's not the real discipline. The real discipline is to not mindlessly flick, trigger discipline and also utilizing more of your characters movement to compensate with your aim.
@Dazs3 жыл бұрын
Agreed, this is huge to experiment with new sensitivities as it helps improve your overall mouse control and find weaknesses. Even in this footage I was working on a much lower sensitivity.

He's right, but not for the reasons he thinks. The act of "getting good" at something is the important bit. The mindset to honestly identify and confront your own weaknesses over and over again without giving up is something you'll need to do to excel in _any_ activity, APEX, CoD, Piano, sex with other people's mothers... With that mindset, you can do anything. Doesn't matter if you practice that mindset in APEX or at the drift track.

Fun fact, there is no recoil when tracking in apex. It's a "feature". It's what people are abusing to have no recoil + arthritis. Edit: To explain, When moving your aim while shooting all recoil is negated. So you if you jiggle your mouse really fast or play with one of those small vibrators on your mouse you will have 0 recoil.

I feel like there are some adjustments to do, but if I do them, I will feel too slow or fast. I am at 1.7-1.8 in-game sens, 750 dpi with a Logitech G502. My desk's dimensions: 60cm x 100cm. I have a gaming laptop. The mousepad is the QcK+ from Steelseries. I think it's a 33cm x 44cm. Like... I have to manage between not going too high to be able to track and not going too low to avoid going off the mousepad and being able to do 180s. The margin is very thin. To get rid of this problem, I need a larger desk, which also means a smaller bed because I have a Queen bed in a small room (330cm x 270cm).

Imagine how many people aim labs could help if they were to have a console version, that would help a vast majority of casual players on console that want to switch to pc or go pro using controller, the aim training would help people snap to enemies and help them track enemies in fights where the enemy is on kbm which they might be at a slight advantage due to having a faster reaction time and tracking. I'm not saying that they would, but if they added it to console or would help thousands of people who play fps like apex, cod or etc.

You can look at it this way, controller is an easier, more understandable, player friendly way of moving your character.
