I’m based in Tampa, FL. I love to play my sax just for fun. Glad I’m vast in music theory which makes it easy for me to follow. Now I have to practice more. Improvisation has always ‘scared’ me

😂😂 Thank you Kooky! The “hoody” is the old training jacket I’m wearing that has a hood, we call it a “hoody” and mine is very old and unsophisticated 😂😂😂 I’m am very happy to see your comments 🤝🤝🎷🎷🎵🎵

Love that A harmonic minor Lynden but am still struggling to create it in Session Band at all! Love the app but it’s not as user friendly as I’d like..Do you always have to start putting the chords in C first? Why is that? For these 251 chords what would I put in for alto (if I can get that far) and also tenor? Many thanks again..😁👍

Hi Jilly! Yeah I love the harmonic minor too, so much! Its gorgeous. It’s easier to create tracks in session band in C because otherwise it keeps trying to transpose for Eb and that can be tricky. It’s really hard to explain in these comments how to make a 251 but I made a tutorial here, How to make a 251 on session band kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y53Vh2eOebCBgJY And you can use any kind of minor chord to play your harmonic minor on. Hi Lynden….I think you may have made a wee mistake..the notes of Am6 should have a F# rather than a G#. ?

Hi John and thank you for this. To be specific do you mean at 13:40 where I write out the root, 3rd, 5th and then 7th instead of the sixth? Because of course you’d be right, I should have said the 6th , the F sharp instead of the 7th. If that’s to place you mean could you let me know please and I’ll make a note in the description. At 13.50 where you write the notes of Am6..although I notice you put G# in the scale too

@@johnjones4129 Thanks John. Again just to be really specific the notes I’ve written out for the A-6 are the notes of A melodic minor in this example which is ABCDEF#G#A. This is a common choice for a minor 251.

@@lyndenblades Hi Lynden…I googled an Am6 chord and the chord tones listed were ACEF#…….that’s where I was coming from…

@@johnjones4129 yes you’re not wrong. For the chord tones I wrote out the root, 3rd, 5th and 7th and in retrospect I should have probably written the sixth which you’re right, would be F# so ACEF# instead of the G#.
