You can either use shrink or delete to create unallocated space
Caution - Use delete only if you are ok to lose the data in that target drive or you have backed up that drive already.
If you are ok to delete the D: drive you may not require any third-party software - you will get unallocated space immediately after C: drive and you are good to extend.

A small partition of size 100MB is created automatically along with unallocated memory in between C and E drive so that i can not extend the volume of C drive.[C:100MB:unallocated:E].So please,how can i manage the PC?

Sir, I have created successfully 30 GB from D Drive. My system shows Disk0 and Disk1 and D Drive falls in Disk1. A space of 1000 MB is also available just next to C. Ask Cortana and click on the search bar, Look for Disk Management and click on it. It should show you each hard drive that is on the computer. You can change the hard drive label on each hard drive right click on one of the hard drives currently on the screen. For example the C hard drive. There are options to change things.

Hi, Great video tutorial, thanks very much.I have a problem though. I followed your instructions and I now have 60GB of unallocated space after C Drive. (I used my E drive as it had loads of space). I left click my C drive but the 'Extend Volume' selection is still greyed out??????? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

unallocated spaced should be immediately after C drive if you want to extend C drive.. pls recheck in disk management (Run > diskmgmt.msc)

Hi, Thanks for your response. Disk Management window shows Disk 0 (C Drive 100Gb) followed by Disk 1 (58.65Gb Unallocated space) and E Drive 1804.37 Gb Healthy (Primary Partition). I right click on C Drive and the Extend Drive option is still greyed out! what am I doing wrong? I should point out that my C Drive is SSD and E Drive is SATA Hard Disk - does this make any difference? Thanks for your help.Ron
