3:57: note: the after dark DLC affects this way more then industries. During the "night" (not noticeable in your city because you play with constant daylight) most commercial buildngs, besides leisure specialization close down and don't pay taxes. In the morning the tax revenue for commercial peak, and normalize again during the day, only to drop again at night.
@goingbonkerswithmyhonkers93744 жыл бұрын
Ooooo good info
@ChristophSchrooten4 жыл бұрын
Is there a way to show this daily commercial income fluctuation? I´m asking because the number next to the budget shows not daily or hourly even, but weekly income, so the "after dark DLC effect" can just not be seen in this number i suppose. Not saying you´re wrong, I can easily imagine how much of a difference is between 0% commercial income at night, and a peak of ... lets say 500% of the daily average from 9-12. It´s just that, in my opinion, the fluctuation in the weekly income does indeed represent the way industry produces income in a very ... unsteady (forgive my english!) way. I was playing on a city with "some" industries (i had every unique factory, plus some oil industries, just to print me money basically). The weekly income went up and down from -50k to 100k within days and weeks even, very unpredictable. On the economy screen the income from commercial showed a constant, like, 5k (didn´t feel relevant to me, i have to admit), but the income from warehouses and unique factories explained the fluctuation to me, showing numbers from 100k to 250k.

The mountain to the north of your new housing area has a big flat area going up it. Looks like a old railway cutting etc. You could use that for a transport connection. Put a monorail of train station up there, link it to the train network or the monorail network by the stadiums. You could then link that new station to your new houses via paths and a short cable car.

The squareabout at 11:42 is getting stuck at the lower right corner, since cars coming in (from the east/right) are allowed to turn left (going south/down). You need to force them to take a round around the squareabout (both lanes turn right only), then it should be smooth.

That was also the reason why I loved your Kerrisdale series so much. I wonder why you didn't continue that one. I can highly recommend to check Flabalikis Skarsgard series and Imperateurs Dream city series. I think they are doing also a great job in zoning the area's following the terrain and they have also a very good level of reality especially in having not so steep ramps, bridges etc. Anyway, I enjoy watching your Cities skylines videos. 1:40 I could be wrong but doesn't Industry 4.0 only affect zoned industry (that means, yellow generic industry)? It was also part of the free updates, means you don't need any DLCs to make use of it. So the only reason you saw an effect of it is because the few zones industry you had still left, at the Yorkshire Tea Farm and at the river between "THANK YOU for 400k subs" and Hamilton District, freed up some of the less educated workers by hiring academic workers

Had a quick question, I listened to all the music that you listed in the description and couldn't figure out which song starts at 22:08 right after "Melissa" by Eveningland ends. Is that music from Cities:Skylines (in-game) and that's why I can't figure out what it is? Anyways, stay safe, glad your kids haven't driven you mad yet.

Hey Biffa. I would really like to see a proper redo of the garbage collection of Teavill using the new facilities. So the Smaller Waste Transfer centers dotted around the city along or near highways with The big processing facility further afar of the city. The two incinerators you placed at the end of the video in the new residential are price for the Waste Transfer Facilities. They won't pollute the water. Especially as that water flows through your city along the river!!!!!! Also, when putting in Timed Traffic lights, it would be cool to see the other options used. Like the "Someone is waiting option" to turn them into a sensored system. so the main road is mainly green unless cross traffic needs to move.

If you have multiple campuses? campi? i found that lower the education budget to the limit you want them to be at really helps distributing the students. otherwise they would tend to flood the one i build rather central and the others were struggling to level up/keep their level. At least until your population is big enough to support multiple campuses? campi? without a problem. Basicly reduce the educational budget, until the campus' student capacity matches the student level you wanna reach. That way you can maybe even keep that other university open
