I was and atheist since I was 10 (I'm 23 now) and it wasn't until my Christian girlfriend opened my eyes and heart open up to religion last year did I realize how it could better myself now and in the afterlife. Great tips. I think going along with asking for help or guidance (and you touched on this a little bit) is surrendering to whatever the outcome/answer will be. Letting go of how and having faith that it will work out as it should helps me.

Idk everytime I focus on my life I just drift further away from Christ. I feel like there is really no bond between us and I'm just forcing myself to believe something that doesnt exist, or like I'm just refusing to believe the truth that there is no God and there is nothing after death. Its kinda like the parable of the sower, I feel like I'm one of those seeds who fell on rocky soil "I hear the word and recieve it with joy but when trouble comes I lose my way" or one of those seeds who were chocked by thorns "I hear the word but I choose riches/wordly life before God" I dont know what I should do, I keep going on and off like I lose faith then I suddenly have faith again, then I lose faith so I watch Bible studies and I regain faith again. Please help me with this issue, am I not committed enough to God? Or is this normal? Im only 12 years old (13 at September) I was born on a cgristian household and I went to a christian school but I only see God and the bible as subjects to pass my exams (Christian Living is a subject in my school). I became a christian this May when my family hosted a bible study session and my eyes were opened to reality that we should be afraid of God, and that if we dont repent, we will go to hell and it will be too late. I was scared for days but I soon accepted it, is this what you call 'Fear of the Lord'? Im asking for your help brothers and sisters, I dont know if what Im doing is wrong or if it is normal. Im so confused about what to do.

Thinking about your faith and your beliefs is totally normal. It sounds like you are being really hard on yourself--it is okay to question, ask and learn about your faith. I like to imagine a loving God that is ready for you at any stage of your faith. So keep going, keep believing and keep trying! I promise as you pray and see Christ, you will find Him in everything you do.

Can you maybe pray for me? That I’ll live in the Spirit and not the flesh, that fleshly thoughts won’t enter my mind and that my faith will be made stronger? I’ve dealt with intrusive thoughts lately and have questioned things I shouldn’t, even if I know in my heart it’s evil/untrue and how I truly feel. I just want to live in the present, sure of my beliefs, knowing what’s good and what’s evil (and true/untrue), and trusting in the Lord with all my heart. I want to be filled with the Spirit, my mind full of what’s good and true. My faith is just fragile, so I’m always questioning things, even if it’s something I’d never question before. Ever since I became a Christian, sin gained power and has been at war with my new mind. I just want to live in the new mind (the Spirit) alone! (Sorry I said so much)

Don't give up on yourself or God! Look for Him all throughout your day and you will find God in the details of your life. Also--at 11 you are figuring out the world and it is totally okay! Take it one day at a time :)

I think it's a good idea to fast on things such as K-pop and things because they can become idols (they are called K-pop idols for goodness sake lol) God saved me from K-pop. It was so bad to the point I fantasized bad and dirty things about them. My favorite group was NCT. He can save you too.

Overall these tips aren't bad especially number 2. It is important to note though that the Bible and the Book of Mormon are 2 radically different things. The Bible is about real people. It is the word of God and is just as spiritually accurate as it is historically accurate. The Book of Mormon is neither Christian nor factually based.

So as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I believe in the Bible--and no it's not a "special" bible. I like to read both the King James Version and the more modern translation called the YOU translation sometimes.
